Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Officer for our Hyderabad programs. The role involves supporting the design, implementation, and monitoring of project activities to ensure data accuracy, program accountability, and adherence to international standards. The incumbent will also serve as the focal person for Community Accountability and Reporting Mechanism (CARM) in the field.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing MEL plans, project log frames, and ensure adherence to Mercy Corps’ standards.
• Support the development and updating of M&E tools, data collection, and analysis.
• Contribute to assessments, baseline/midline/end-line studies, RNAs, and household surveys.
• Document lessons learned, best practices, and provide evidence-based reports.
• Act as the focal point for CARM, ensuring effective implementation in the field.
• Conduct field monitoring visits and on-site data verification.
• Provide technical support and capacity building to field teams and partners.
• Regularly update project data in TOLA and other reporting systems.
• Prepare and present monitoring reports, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
• Support Global Fund (GF), LFA, CCM, and other external review missions.
• Ensure compliance with Mercy Corps policies, including Safety & Security SOPs.

Minimum Qualifications & Skills

• Master’s degree in Social Sciences or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of field experience in the social/development sector (preferably 2 years with an INGO).
• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience in M&E, including data analysis, monitoring tools, and reporting.
• Strong knowledge of M&E principles and practices.
• Experience with Global Funded programs or public health (TB program preferred) is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills with proficiency in English and local languages.
• Advanced computer skills: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and familiarity with data analysis/visualization tools.
