Role Purpose
The Logistics Manager will be responsible for leading and managing end-to-end domestic and international logistics operations, ensuring efficient movement of materials and finished goods while optimizing cost, service levels, compliance, and customer satisfaction. The role requires strategic oversight of import-export activities, freight management, vendor development, logistics planning, and team leadership to support the organization's growth objectives and operational excellence initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Freight Management & Cost Optimization
- Negotiate with domestic and international logistics service providers to achieve optimal cost and service.
- Improve freight efficiency through route optimization, consolidation, and mode selection.
- Monitor logistics costs and benchmark industry best practices.
Import & Export Operations
- Manage end-to-end import and export shipments.
- Ensure timely customs clearance and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor shipment schedules and resolve operational disruptions.
Vendor Development & Management
- Develop and manage freight forwarders, CHAs, transporters, and logistics partners.
- Conduct vendor evaluations, performance reviews, and capacity assessments.
- Build alternate sourcing options to mitigate logistics risks.
Documentation & Compliance
- Ensure accuracy of import-export documentation and statutory records.
- Maintain compliance with Customs, DGFT, GST, FEMA, and other regulations.
- Support audits and maintain required documentation.
Shipment Monitoring & Customer Service
- Track shipments and ensure timely delivery.
- Proactively resolve exceptions and communicate shipment status.
- Drive improvements in delivery performance and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with Sales, Production, Purchase, Stores, Finance, and Customer Service teams.
