Major Areas of Contribution:
1. Strategic Contribution
- Ensure timely import of materials to support production and customer commitments.
- Drive logistics cost optimization through effective freight planning and vendor coordination.
- Improve import process efficiency by reducing clearance lead time.
- Ensure compliance with import policies, statutory regulations, and internal controls.
- Develop and maintain relationships with logistics vendors, courier companies, transporters, and freight partners.
2. Functional Contribution
- Coordinate end-to-end import shipments from purchase order to material receipt.
- Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers (CHA), shipping lines, and transporters.
- Prepare and verify import documentation including Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading/AWB, BOE, COO, etc.
- Track shipments, monitor delivery schedules, and resolve logistics-related issues proactively.
- Maintain import MIS, shipment status reports, and support audits with required documentation.
- Resolve shipment delays, documentation discrepancies, shortages, damages, and clearance issues.
Success Indicators in First 6 Months
- Achieve timely customs clearance with minimal shipment delays.
- Ensure high accuracy in import documentation and statutory compliance.
- Improve shipment visibility through effective tracking and reporting.
- Build strong coordination with suppliers, freight partners, and internal teams.
- Identify opportunities for logistics cost savings and process improvements.
Ideal Candidate Background
- Graduate in Supply Chain, Logistics, Commerce, Diploma certification in Import-Export or Supply Chain Management preferred.
- 23 years of experience in Imports, International Logistics, or Supply Chain Operations.
- Hands-on experience in imports documentation, customs clearance, freight coordination, and ERP systems.
- Strong communication, planning, and coordination skills with attention to detail.
