Job summary

Suvidha Placements is seeking an experienced logistics manager to oversee inbound and outbound operations, coordinate with procurement and sales, and ensure timely loading, unloading, and dispatch from the warehouse.

You will lead a logistics team, develop relationships with transporters to negotiate rates, and drive cost-effective, JIT transportation across building-material projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in logistic management of building materials (cement, iron & steel, ferro alloys).
• Strong leadership to manage large teams.
• Good connections to arrange cheap transport.

Responsibilities

• Inbound and outbound logistics as per program received from procurement and sales department.
• Arranging fleet/ vehicle/ transport for timely loading and unloading of material.
• Developing relationship with transporters and contractors and negotiate the best rates.
• Ensure timely dispatch of material from warehouse to client place.
• Ensure seamless transportation of goods JIT.
• If any problem on route, arrange for fixing the problem.
• Coordination with dispatch, procurement, production and sales department for efficient functioning of logistics.
• Proper management of logistics team.
• Aligning the duties of all personnel.

Role & responsibilities

Will manage inbound and out bound logistics as per the program receive from procurement and sales department

Arranging fleet/ Vehicle / Transport for timely loading and unloading of material

Developing relationship with transporters and contractors and ensure to negotiate the best rates from transporters

Ensure timely dispatch of material from warehouse to the client place

Ensure seamless transportation of good JIT

If any problem on route, he should make arrangement for fixing the problem

Coordination with dispatch, procurment, production and sales depatment for eifficent functioning of logistic department

Proper management of logistic team

Allinging the duties of all personnel

Preferred candidate profile

One who has prevviously experience of working in logistic management of building material like cement, Iron & steel, ferro alloys etc

He must have excellent leadership skills to manage large team

Should have good connects to arrange cheap transport
