Job summary

Navin Fluorine International in Dahej, Gujarat, is seeking a seasoned Logistics Manager to oversee end-to-end distribution, dispatches and transport operations for domestic and export shipments. You will coordinate with transporters, sales and operations to ensure OTIF performance and cost-effective logistics.

The role requires over 10 years in chemical logistics, strong knowledge of export/import documentation, and familiarity with SAP ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or supply chain is required.
• MBA in supply chain or operations management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate timely dispatches and deliveries with transporters, sales and operations teams.
• Handle both domestic and export logistics and related documentation.
• Track and monitor OTIF (On Time In Full) delivery performance.
• Prepare transportation cost estimates and negotiate using a Total Cost of Ownership model.
• Prepare and manage the annual transportation budget and explore cost-optimized solutions.
• Ensure compliance with GST invoicing, customs, motor vehicles act, licensing, weights & measurements, and IMDG labeling.
• Resolve customer complaints and implement CAPA to prevent recurrence.
• Ensure safety, quality and environmental compliance in all logistics operations.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

To ensure timely dispatches & delivery of finished products as per schedule by coordinating with transporters, sales team, operations team, etc. To handle both domestics as well as exports & hence need to have knowledge on exports-imports related documentation. To track & monitor OTIF (On Time In Full) delivery performance.

To finalize transportation agreements with transporters by inviting offers, preparation of comparison statement, proposals & its approval. Use of TCO (Total Cost Of Ownership) model working for cost estimation & negotiation. To carry out transporter performance evaluation & arrange for correcting/preventive actions to ensure desired customer service levels. Also finalize rates for disposal of by-products.

To prepare annual transportation budget. To analyse, understand & continuously explore alternative transportation solutions for better delivery services at optimized costs.

To ensure disposal of by-products, spent acids, etc as per requirement from the Plant while ensuring all legal-Pollution Control Board & statutory compliances.

To ensure all the compliances related to Responsible Care. To ensure compliances related to GST invoicing, customs, motor vehicles act, licenses, weights & measurement, etc by co-ordinating with government officials as & when required. To ensure compliance to IMDG requirements for labelling, etc.

To resolve customer complaints related to Logistics, prepare CAPA & take correcting/preventive actions to eliminate such complaints in future.

To arrange clearance of transportation, loading-unloading, any other services related bills, etc related to logistics.

To ensure safety, legal, quality & environmental related compliances in all logistics operations including IMS, RC, 5S, etc.

To work for any other additional assignments provided by HOD from time to time as per requirements.

Qualification and Experience:

Qualification: Bachlers Degree in Engineering Or Supply Chain. MBA in Supply Chain &/Or Specialization in Supply Chain or Operations Management will be an added advantage.

Experience: More than 10 years experience in handling logistics operations for Chemical Industry.

Desirable: Knowledge of ERP modules- SAP, Responsible Care Initiative, Exports-Imports Documentation, IMDG Guidelines, etc & working exposure in Chemical Industry for handling & transportation of hazardous chemicals
