Job summary

Kanodia Cement is seeking a Dispatch & Logistics In-Charge to oversee the complete cement dispatch and logistics operations at the Amethi plant. The role ensures timely dispatch, optimal vehicle utilization, proper documentation, and seamless coordination with customers and transporters.

The incumbent will monitor dispatch quantities, ensure correct loading, manage transporters, and maintain MIS data while adhering to safety and company policy requirements.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of relevant experience in cement, manufacturing, logistics, dispatch or transportation operations.
• Graduate in any discipline; MBA/PG Diploma in Logistics/Supply Chain will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day cement dispatch and logistics operations from the plant.
• Plan and coordinate dispatches as per sales orders, customer requirements and daily dispatch plans.
• Coordinate with Sales, Plant, Packing, Warehouse, Accounts and Transporters to ensure smooth dispatch operations.
• Arrange and monitor trucks/vehicles as per daily dispatch requirements.
• Coordinate with transporters for timely placement of vehicles at the plant.

Designation: Dispatch & Logistics In-Charge
Location: Bhadar, Amethi Plant, Uttar Pradesh

Education: Graduate in any discipline; MBA/PG Diploma in Logistics/Supply Chain will be an added advantage.

Experience: 5-8 years of relevant experience in cement, manufacturing, logistics, dispatch or transportation operations.

Budget (CTC): 40k to 50k per month

Job Purpose

To manage and supervise the complete cement dispatch and logistics operations of the plant, ensuring timely and efficient dispatch of cement, optimum utilization of vehicles, proper documentation, coordination with customers/transporters, and adherence to company policies and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day cement dispatch and logistics operations from the plant.
• Plan and coordinate dispatches as per sales orders, customer requirements and daily dispatch plans.
• Coordinate with Sales, Plant, Packing, Warehouse, Accounts and Transporters to ensure smooth dispatch operations.
• Arrange and monitor trucks/vehicles as per daily dispatch requirements.
• Coordinate with transporters for timely placement of vehicles at the plant.
• Monitor truck reporting, loading, documentation, dispatch and vehicle departure.
• Ensure optimum utilization of available vehicles and minimize vehicle detention and waiting time.
• Monitor loading turnaround time (TAT) and take corrective action for unnecessary delays.
• Ensure proper preparation and verification of dispatch documents, invoices, e-way bills, delivery challans, weighment slips and other required documents.
• Coordinate with the weighbridge team and ensure accurate vehicle and material weighment.
• Monitor dispatch quantities and reconcile physical dispatch with system/records.
• Ensure that the correct product, quantity and destination are loaded against the respective order.
• Track dispatched vehicles and coordinate with transporters/customers regarding delivery status.
• Handle transportation-related issues such as vehicle breakdowns, delays, route issues and delivery-related concerns.
• Maintain transporter-wise records of vehicle placement, freight, trips, detention and delivery performance.
• Verify transporter bills/freight bills against approved rates, trips, weighment and supporting documents.
• Monitor transportation costs and identify opportunities for freight and logistics cost optimization.
• Ensure compliance with approved transportation rates and company logistics policies.
• Coordinate with security for proper vehicle entry, loading and exit procedures.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and safe movement of vehicles within the plant premises.
• Ensure compliance with plant safety rules, PPE requirements and traffic management procedures.
• Maintain daily/monthly MIS related to dispatch, vehicle placement, pending orders, freight and logistics performance.
• Monitor and resolve customer complaints related to dispatch, delivery, shortages or transportation issues in coordination with concerned departments.
• Ensure proper shift handover and maintain continuity of dispatch operations.
• Ensure compliance with applicable statutory requirements related to transportation and dispatch.
