Job summary

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. is seeking a logistics professional to manage service providers and ensure timely, safe delivery of consignments at our manufacturing and distribution facilities.

The role involves coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, onboarding LSPs through SAP Ariba RFQ, executing agreements, tracking shipments against KPIs, performing root-cause analysis, and driving cost-saving and safety initiatives while liaising with customs and port authorities.

Qualifications

• Good analytical mindset.
• 2–6 years of experience in logistics or related function.

Responsibilities

• Manage logistics service providers for timely and safe delivery.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to meet operations, including rake planning.
• On-board LSPs via RFQ in SAP Ariba.
• Execute agreements with LSPs and ensure adherence.
• Track consignments and ensure adherence to defined KPIs.
• Perform root-cause analysis of transit returns/rejections and implement corrective actions.
• Propose and implement cost-saving initiatives and safety improvements.
• Liaise with LSPs such as customs brokers, port authorities, and forwarders.
• Represent Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. at customs and other government departments.
• Ensure timely invoicing, retrieval and exits from the manufacturing plant in coordination with LSPs.

Job description

Managing the Logistics Service Providers for timely & safely delivery of consignment.

2. Co-ordination with various stakeholders (internal / external ) to meet operational requirements like planning of rakes etc.

3. On-boarding the Logistics Service Providers through RFQ process in SAP Ariba

4. Agreement Execution with Logistics Service Providers & proper adherance.

5. Ensure proper tracking of all consignments and adherence to defined KPIs.

6. Proper root-cause analysis of transit return / rejections and implementation of actions plan to reduce.

7. Take new initiatives resulting in cost saving in operations and increased safety in operations

8. Liaison with LSPs (eg. customs brokers, port authority, shipping lines, forwarders, transporters, etc.)

9. Should represent MSIL at customs and other Government Department.

10. Ensuring timely invoicing/retrieval and exits from manufacturing plant in coordination with LSPs.
