Role Description

The Lead Structural Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Coimbatore. This position is responsible for leading structural design and analysis for industrial and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and safety requirements. Daily responsibilities include reviewing design inputs, performing structural calculations, preparing and checking engineering drawings and models, and coordinating with CAD designers and multidisciplinary engineering teams. The role involves guiding junior engineers, providing technical oversight, supporting project planning and scheduling, and collaborating with project managers to resolve design issues. The Lead Structural Engineer also participates in client meetings, prepares technical documentation and reports, and supports quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Structural Engineering and Civil Engineering, with experience in designing and reviewing structural systems for industrial or infrastructure projects.
• Candidates should possess advanced skills in Structural Analysis and Calculations, including familiarity with relevant codes, load assessment, and design optimization.
• Candidates should possess proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for structural detailing, modeling, and coordination with multidisciplinary drawings.
• Relevant bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; a master’s degree or equivalent specialization is an advantage.
• Proven experience in leading structural design projects, mentoring junior engineers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Strong knowledge of applicable national and international design codes, safety standards, and quality practices.
• Effective communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly.
• Experience working on large-scale or complex projects and familiarity with project management tools and procedures is beneficial.
