Job summary

Jord International is seeking a Structural Engineer (Contract) to lead independent analyses and design tasks. You will evaluate engineering problems, prepare drawings, and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams across projects.

Proactive communication and strong attention to detail are essential. Candidates should have 2–3+ years in civil/structural engineering, expert knowledge of StaadPro, and familiarity with international design standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate preferably Post Graduate qualification in Structural / Civil Engineering.
• Over 2–3 years of experience with advanced knowledge in civil and/or structural engineering.
• Experience in MNCs in Power, Oil&Gas, Material & Mineral beneficiation industries desirable.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
• Knowledge of civil/structural design standards (ACI, AISC, ASCE, EURO, BS, AS CODE).
• High proficiency in StaadPro (latest version).
• Knowledge of Limcon, MasterSeries & Ram Connection will be an added advantage.
• Willingness to visit client project sites globally as needed.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with teams across departments.

Job description

The Structural Engineer (Contract) is responsible to plan and conduct independent work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures and criteria.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform structural design and analysis calculations using governing codes and standards, engineering formulas, skills, and experience.
• Provide drawing for designs and produce sketches to incorporate in drawings by Designers/Drafters.
• Research design options and document findings for project lead engineer.
• Coordinate work with other disciplines such as mechanical and electrical.
• Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering design documents.
• Read and understand building codes, construction specifications and drawings.
• Promptly report any critical risks to the Higher ups.
• Perform day to day tasks as assigne
