Job summary

Adani Group in India seeks a Civil/Structural Engineer with 3–6 years of experience to deliver design for industrial infrastructure, including copper manufacturing plants, foundations, buildings and related facilities.

You will coordinate with disciplines, prepare drawings, BOQs, tender docs, review vendor drawings, and support construction and commissioning with a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–6 years of relevant civil/structural engineering experience in industrial or infrastructure projects.
• Experience in design, tendering, multidisciplinary coordination and site support.

Responsibilities

• Execute concept to detailed engineering for industrial infrastructure including plants, structures, roads, and drainage.
• Develop and review drawings, calculations, specifications, and design reports.
• Prepare and review BOQs, technical specs, and scopes for EPC/construction packages.
• Participate in bid evaluations, discussions and technical recommendations.
• Coordinate interfaces with mechanical, electrical, instrumentation teams to prevent clashes.
• Review vendor/contractor drawings for conformance to design criteria, codes and safety.
• Drive value engineering through fit-for-purpose design and material selection.
• Maintain controlled engineering drawings and documentation for construction.
• Support site teams resolving technical queries and non-conformities during construction and commissioning.
• Monitor deliverables and communicate risks and progress to project lead.

Purpose/Objective

To deliver safe, compliant and cost-effective civil and structural engineering solutions for copper manufacturing and associated infrastructure, from concept and basic engineering through detailed design, tendering and multidisciplinary interface management.

Key Responsibilities of Role

• Execute concept, basic and detailed engineering for industrial infrastructure including copper plants, material-handling structures, conveyor and transfer towers, PEB buildings, industrial sheds, service buildings, township facilities, roads and storm-water drainage.
• Develop and review design drawings, calculations, specifications, design-basis documents, layouts, technical reports and detailed project reports.
• Prepare and review Bills of Quantities, technical specifications and scopes of work for EPC and construction packages.
• Participate in technical bid evaluation, bidder discussions and technical recommendation of civil and structural packages.
• Coordinate design interfaces with mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and other disciplines to prevent clashes, omissions and execution delays.
• Review vendor, consultant and contractor drawings for compliance with approved design criteria, applicable codes, constructability, quality and safety requirements.
• Drive value engineering through fit-for-purpose design, optimum material selection and adoption of relevant construction technologies.
• Maintain controlled engineering drawings, calculations, records and technical documentation, ensuring timely revision and issue for construction.
• Support site teams in resolving technical queries, non-conformities and recurring civil or structural issues during construction and commissioning.
• Monitor engineering deliverables and communicate risks, dependencies, decisions and progress to the Engineering / Project Lead.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
• 3–6 years of relevant experience in civil and structural engineering for industrial, manufacturing, metals, mining, power, infrastructure or comparable project environments.
• Experience across engineering design, tendering, multidisciplinary coordination and site engineering support is preferred.
• Civil and structural design of industrial buildings, foundations, equipment structures and infrastructure.
• Proficiency in STAAD.
• Pro, ETABS, SAP2000 or equivalent structural-analysis tools.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit or equivalent engineering design and drafting platforms.
• Sound knowledge of applicable Indian and international design codes and standards, including relevant IS, ACI and AISC provisions.
• Preparation and review of drawings, BOQs, technical specifications, scopes of work and EPC tender documents.
• Design review, constructability assessment, value engineering and multidisciplinary interface management.
• Proficiency in MS Office and project / document-management tools.
