Job summary

Turtle is seeking a Senior Sourcing Manager to lead vendor development, sourcing strategy, and capacity planning for its garment lines. You will drive competitive advantages through sustainable sourcing, supplier collaboration, and KPI-driven performance.

Ideal candidates have 13–15 years in garment sourcing, exposure to major brands, and comfort with digital tools to enhance procurement, quality, and delivery timelines.

Qualifications

• B.Tech (Textiles) or PG from NIFT with relevant garment sourcing exposure.
• 13–15 years of Garment Sourcing experience, preferably menswear.
• Experience with major apparel brands and digital tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop short- and long-term sourcing strategies to gain competitive advantage.
• Set up development and bulk capacities aligned with annual sourcing plans.
• Guide PD partners on product placement with vendors to meet KPIs.
• Maintain an agile, capable source base to achieve operational excellence.
• Execute strategies for core replenishment and seasonal product delivery.
• Co-own and deliver sales samples per calendar deadlines.
• Collaborate with Supply Planning for seasonal placements and capacity planning.
• Review vendor performance for on-time in-full delivery and quality.
• Engage with PD and Quality teams to align on approvals and risks.

Brief Job Summary

Develop, lead and manage Vendor Source base to execute the Product Development and Sourcing strategies based on Brand needs, creating the competitive advantage for the Brand through Sustainable development, Sourcing and Assurance of quality products. Lead the executional strategies and evaluate on continuous basis towards Operational Excellence

Role & responsibilities

• Develop Sourcing strategies (Short Long Term) that provide competitive advantage and contributes to financial plans of the Brand.
• Establish Capacities for both Development and Bulk in sync with Annual Sourcing plans.
• Provide guidance to PD partners with product placement to the most suitable vendor and ensure meeting target KPIs (set yearly) for pre-production and bulk deliveries.
• Manage an Agile and relevant source base with capabilities to deliver Operational Excellence to Brand.
• Execute sourcing strategies to support specific product delivery attributes (Core Replenishment and Seasonal products).
• Co-Own and Deliver Sales samples as per Calendar deadlines.
• Engage with Supply Planning team in terms of Seasonal placements/Capacity planning to meet On Shelf needs .Freeze production capacities based on need for at least 6 months ahead.
• Collaborate with Quality Team to enable product review meetings, pre-empt risks and engage with PD team for relevant alignment.
• Review 3-month vendor wise production plans, forecast delays well in advance, align with stakeholders as relevant for updates/resolution.
• Collaboratively engage with PD, Quality team on approvals to ensure TNA adherence.
• Continuous Review of Vendor performance from Ontime, Quality perspective to meet business needs.
• Review vendor wise monthly performance report on delivery, serviceability and as well defect %. Follow up with CAP for continuous improvements to meet Key Objective i.e., Ontime in Full.
• Fosters a high performing culture with consistent team engagement.

Preferred candidate profile

1. B. Tech (Textiles)/ PG NIFT Degree
2. Minimum 13 to 15 years of experience in Garment Sourcing (preferably menswear)
3. Exposure to managing sourcing in major apparel brand(s)
4. Exposure to Digital/technology tools would be an added advantage.
