PREM TEXTILES is seeking an experienced Sourcing Manager to lead procurement for our Retail segment. You will identify reliable suppliers, negotiate prices, ensure timely material availability, and maintain quality while building long-term vendor relationships.

The role requires developing sourcing strategies, evaluating suppliers, and driving cost reductions. You will coordinate with multiple internal teams to meet production needs and ensure supplier performance.”

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Textile-related field or supply chain/ purchasing.
• Experience in textile procurement, vendor development, and sourcing.
• Strong negotiation and supplier evaluation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for Household/Home decor, Plastic & Glass Items, accessories, and other required items.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop new suppliers and vendors.
• Manage existing vendor relationships and monitor performance.
• Obtain quotations, compare prices, negotiate terms, and finalize suppliers.
• Ensure procurement at competitive prices while maintaining quality standards.
• Coordinate with Sales, Planning, Stores, Merchandising to understand item requirements.
• Ensure timely delivery of items as per schedules.
• Monitor purchase orders and follow up with suppliers.
• Conduct market research on price trends and new sourcing opportunities.
• Develop alternate suppliers to reduce supply risks.
• Evaluate suppliers on price, quality, delivery, capacity, service, and payment terms.
• Resolve supplier issues on quality, delivery, pricing, and terms.
• Coordinate with Quality team for supplier quality evaluations.
• Maintain sourcing records, supplier databases, quotations, and price comparisons.
• Support cost-reduction initiatives and identify sourcing efficiency opportunities.
• Ensure sourcing activities comply with company policies and quality requirements.
• Negotiate payment terms and other commercial conditions with suppliers.
• Conduct regular vendor visits and supplier performance reviews.

The candidate will be responsible for identifying reliable suppliers, negotiating competitive prices, ensuring timely availability of materials, maintaining quality standards, and developing long‑term vendor relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for House hold/Home dcor/Plastic & Glass Items , accessories, and other required Items.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop new suppliers and vendors.
• Manage existing vendor relationships and monitor vendor performance.
• Obtain quotations, compare prices, negotiate commercial terms, and finalize suppliers.
• Ensure procurement at competitive prices while maintaining required quality standards.
• Coordinate with Sales, Planning, Stores, Merchandising, to understand Items requirements.
• Ensure timely delivery of Items as per schedules.
• Monitor purchase orders and follow up with suppliers for timely delivery.
• Conduct market research to understand price trends, availability, and new sourcing opportunities.
• Develop alternate suppliers to reduce supply risks and dependency on a single vendor.
• Evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, delivery, capacity, service, and payment terms.
• Resolve supplier-related issues concerning quality, delivery, pricing, and commercial terms.
• Coordinate with the Quality team for supplier quality evaluations and corrective actions.
• Maintain proper sourcing records, supplier databases, quotations, and price comparisons.
• Support cost‑reduction initiatives and identify opportunities for improving sourcing efficiency.
• Ensure sourcing activities comply with company policies and quality requirements.
• Negotiate payment terms, credit periods, and other commercial conditions with suppliers.
• Conduct regular vendor visits and supplier performance reviews when required.
• Prepare sourcing reports, MIS, and management updates on procurement status and cost savings.

Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Textile Technology, Textile Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Purchase, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Relevant professional qualification in procurement/supply chain will be an added advantage.

Experience

• 68 years of relevant experience in sourcing, purchase, procurement, or vendor management in the textile, garment, or related industry.
• Candidates with strong experience in textile & material sourcing and vendor development will be preferred.
