Job summary

TAAS Partners in Mumbai seeks a VP – Sourcing to own end-to-end sourcing strategy across Men's, Women's, Kidswear and Accessories, with full accountability for vendor development, cost negotiation, quality and lead times across online and offline channels.

You will build a high‑performing sourcing team, lead negotiations, drive year‑on‑year cost efficiencies, ensure ethical vendor compliance, and align fabric booking to the buying calendar.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in apparel sourcing with multi-category leadership.
• Deep knowledge of fabrics, trims, and CMT costing.
• Strong negotiator with track record of cost delivery at scale.
• Experience with domestic and international vendors.
• Exposure to fast fashion or high-velocity retail brands.
• Collaborative working style with Design, Planning, Finance, and Retail.

Role Summary

As VP – Sourcing, you will own end-to-end sourcing strategy across all categories — Men's, Women's, Kidswear, and Accessories. Full accountability for vendor development, cost negotiation, quality, and lead times, directly impacting margins and product availability across online and offline channels.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Define and own the multi-year sourcing strategy across apparel and non-apparel categories
• Build and manage a diversified vendor base — identification, onboarding, development, and performance management
• Lead all commercial negotiations (fabric, trims, CMT, finished goods) to deliver best-in-class pricing without compromising quality
• Own costing architecture across categories; drive year-on-year cost efficiencies through vendor consolidation and input optimization
• Set and enforce quality standards; ensure vendor compliance with ethical sourcing and audit requirements
• Own the sourcing calendar from fabric booking to ex-factory, aligned with the buying and retail calendar
• Partner with Design and Category teams from concept stage to ensure sourcing feasibility is built into product development
• Build and lead a high-performing sourcing team across categories

Qualifications & Skills

• 15+ years in apparel/fashion sourcing with at least 4–5 years in a multi-category leadership role
• Deep knowledge of apparel manufacturing — fabrics, construction, trims, and CMT costing across wovens, knits, and accessories
• Strong commercial negotiator with a proven track record of cost delivery at scale
• Experience with both domestic vendors and international sourcing destinations
• Exposure to fast fashion, D2C, or high-velocity retail brands preferred
• Collaborative working style across Design, Planning, Finance, and Retail teams
