Job description

Purpose/Objective

The Lead - PPC oversees the efficient management of raw materials, ensuring timely availability to meet production needs. By optimizing inventory, forecasting demand accurately, and streamlining procurement processes, this role minimizes shortages and excess stock. The Lead uses digital solutions and automation to drive operational efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure smooth production flow.

Key Responsibilities of Role
  • Safety Training and 5S Participation: - Achieve the target percentage of participation in safety training and 5S activities within the production planning team.
  • Promote continuous improvement and ensure that production areas are organized, safe, and optimized for efficiency.
  • Innovation: - Driving continuous improvements in planning and production through innovative technologies to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Digitalization/Data-Driven Decision Making: - Utilizing digital tools and data analytics to optimize scheduling and material management for improved production performance.
  • Organizational & Culture Building: - Fostering a collaborative, agile team culture aligned with company values to drive efficient Production Planning: - Ensure timely and efficient production scheduling by balancing production capacity with material availability and demand.
  • Oversee the planning of standard, trial, and rework orders to ensure production goals are met on schedule, without compromising quality or efficiency.
  • Inventory Control: - Ensure effective inventory management by overseeing raw material and finished goods inventory, tracking stock levels, and maintaining optimal inventory to support production schedules while avoiding overstocking or stockouts.
  • Projects and Skill Development: - Lead production-related projects focused on improving production efficiency, reducing downtime, or implementing new systems or technologies.
  • Measure project outcomes and track improvements in productivity or cost savings as a result of these initiatives.
  • ERP and SAP Management: - Oversee the implementation and effective utilization of ERP and SAP systems to streamline production planning, monitor production data, and ensure seamless integration across departments.
  • Consumption Planning: - Develop and implement consumption plans for raw materials, ensuring material usage aligns with production forecasts, minimizing waste, and optimizing material consumption efficiency.
  • Time Production Consumption: - Monitor and analyze production timelines, ensuring that production processes are completed within the set timelines, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing corrective actions to optimize throughput.
  • Cost Control: - Ensure production costs (materials and manpower) stay within the budget by controlling excess consumption, optimizing processes, and closely monitoring cost metrics to maintain profitability.
  • Audit Management (Internal & External): - Lead and coordinate internal and external audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, identify areas for improvement, and maintain consistent process integrity within production planning.
  • Change Management: - Drive change management initiatives by identifying areas for process improvement, implementing new systems or technologies, and ensuring smooth transitions across the production planning team.
  • Deployment of Latest Technology: - Lead the deployment and integration of the latest technologies and automation tools to enhance production efficiency, optimize planning processes, and drive continuous improvements in production capabilities.
  • People Development: - Leading from the front & being accountable for the professional growth of your teams.
  • Developing/conducting/promoting training & learning initiatives to enhance skills & empowering them to take ownership of key processes and decisions.
  • Automation of Data Tracking and Reporting: - Implement automated systems for data tracking from production lines, reducing manual efforts and improving visibility.
