Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Production Planner with strong SAP PP expertise to manage production orders, run MRP, and align demand with capacity. The role requires collaboration with procurement and production teams to optimize inventory and OTIF.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience in discrete manufacturing sectors and proficiency in Excel/Power BI for reporting and dashboarding.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing planning role.
• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong expertise in SAP PP module and Production Planning, MRP knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Manage production orders in SAP PP and ensure timely release, execution, and closure.
• Execute MRP and monitor material availability.
• Perform demand and capacity planning aligned with customer requirements and production schedules.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement and stores teams.
• Analyze inventory trends and improve turnover while avoiding stock-outs.

• Manage production orders in SAP PP and ensure timely release, execution, and closure
• Execute Material Requirement Planning (MRP) and monitor material availability
• Perform demand planning and capacity planning aligned with customer requirements and production schedules
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement and stores teams
• Analyze inventory trends and improve inventory turnover while avoiding stock-outs
• Conduct BOM reconciliation and ensure system accuracy between engineering and production requirements
• Coordinate with production teams for schedule adherence and resource utilization
• Monitor production performance and resolve planning-related constraints
• Support manufacturing operations through routing management and production sequencing
• Drive productivity improvement initiatives across manufacturing processes
• Monitor and control COPQ through root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Reduce repair costs through material consumption and repair-hours reduction
• Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement projects
• Generate and analyze production, inventory, and planning reports using SAP and other reporting tools
• Develop dashboards and KPIs for production performance, OTIF, inventory, capacity utilization, and productivity metrics
• Provide actionable data analytics insights for management decision-making

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience
• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering or related discipline
• Strong expertise in SAP PP Module
