Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with preferably 0–5 years in production planning.
• Experience with production scheduling and inventory control in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of SAP and cost-control processes is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Minimize downtime by addressing material shortages and adhere to the monthly production plan.
• Ensure on-time issuance of raw materials and maintain accuracy between SAP and costing sheets.
• Clear block stock inventory and optimize stock levels to reduce idle materials.
• Support cost-saving or process-improvement projects to enhance efficiency.
• Monitor material usage, labor efficiency, and resource allocation to control costs.
• Release accurate MIS reports for plant materials and production activities.
• Complete safety and internal trainings to ensure compliance and enhance skills.

Job Purpose

The Executive - Production Planning is responsible for managing and optimizing production processes within the cluster, ensuring that production targets are met efficiently. This role focuses on inventory management, production planning, monitoring material flow, and addressing operational challenges to minimize downtime and ensure product quality. Additionally, the Shift Engineer plays a key role in implementing cost-saving initiatives, overseeing safety protocols, and ensuring smooth coordination between production, inventory, and safety teams.

Responsibilities

Production Activity Controls

• Minimize downtime by addressing material shortages proactively. Ensure adherence to the monthly production plan and manage production volume, grade, and output.

Production

• Ensure on-time issuance of raw materials as per production needs. Maintain accuracy between SAP and costing issuance sheets, and ensure timely closure of production orders.

Inventory Management

• Ensure timely clearance of block stock inventory by the reporting date to avoid delays. Focus on reducing idle raw materials and maintaining optimal stock levels.

Projects And Skill Development

• Support cost-saving or process improvement projects each year to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Focus on system enhancements and continuous improvement across operations.

Cost Control

• Ensures production costs are kept within budget by monitoring material usage, labor efficiency, and optimizing resource allocation to reduce waste.

MIS And Commodity-based Actions

• Release accurate P2D2 MIS reports for plant-specific tracking of key raw materials. Ensure timely updates on material needs and production activities for better planning.

Safety & Training

• Complete the required safety and internal training to ensure compliance and enhance skills. Participate in E-Vidyalaya and GenSuite sessions to improve safety protocols.
