Job summary

Maersk is seeking a FinOps Process Expert in Chennai to manage end-to-end financial operations, including billing, invoicing, and payment reconciliation. You will resolve invoice disputes, perform reconciliations, and support month-end/year-end closings while driving process improvements.

The role requires strong accounting knowledge, ERP experience (SAP/Oracle/Dynamics), and proficiency in Excel and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end financial operations processes, including billing, invoicing, and payment reconciliation.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of customer and vendor invoices.
• Monitor and resolve invoice disputes, credit notes, and payment discrepancies.
• Perform account reconciliations and maintain financial records with high accuracy.
• Support month-end and year-end financial closing activities.
• Analyze financial data and prepare operational and performance reports.
• Collaborate with Customer Experience, Commercial, Procurement, and Finance teams to resolve operational issues.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and company policies.
• Identify process gaps and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Support system testing, UAT activities, and implementation of new financial processes or tools.
• Handle customer and stakeholder queries related to billing, charges, and financial transactions.
• Monitor KPIs, SLAs, and workflow backlogs to ensure service delivery targets are met.
