Job summary

Ashita Business Solutions seeks a Lead Engineer- Track Design to join our rail structures team in India. The role focuses on designing ballastless track systems on viaducts and at-grade, including plinth and slab track, with emphasis on interface with other track components.

You will prepare design basis reports, calculations, and technical specifications, coordinate with CAD/BIM for drawings, and ensure timely delivery per project timelines.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in railway structures design (bridges, ballastless track slabs)
• Detailed knowledge of concrete/steel design per Eurocode and ACI
• Proficiency in Midas Civil, Staad Pro, Adsec, and FEM software
• Knowledge of AREMA/UIC/EN railway standards

Responsibilities

• Design ballastless track structures (Plinth track, Slab Track on viaduct, Slab track on at-grade, Steel Pedestal track, Level crossing track).
• Prepare design basis reports, calculation reports, and technical specifications.
• Design special track structures for yards and depots and conduct rail structures interaction studies.
• Coordinate with CAD and BIM teams for drawings and models and review them as per project requirements.
• Ensure design coordination to deliver designs on time per contractual timelines

Mission / Main Duties:

• Design of ballastless track structures such as Plinth track, Slab Track on viaduct, Slab track on At-grade, Steel Pedestal track, Level crossing track etc.
• Prepare key design documents like design basis reports and calculation reports, technical specifications etc.
• Design special track structures for yards and depots.
• Rail Structures Interaction studies
• Understand and manage interface requirements between track and other systems.
• Coordination with CAD and BIM team for production of drawings and models and review it as per the project requirement.
• Responsible for design coordination works to ensure swift and timely delivery of designs as per contractual timelines.

Profile/ Skills:

• M.E./M.Tech degree in structural engineering with 10+ years of experience in railway structures (Bridges, Ballastless Track slabs, steel structures etc.)
• Detailed knowledge of design of concrete and steel structures as per Eurocode and ACI.
• Proficiency in Midas Civil, Staad Pro, Adsec, any FEM Software
• Knowledge in Structural Dynamics, track components such as turnouts and crossovers, buffer stop etc.
• Detailed knowledge of interface with track structures
• Knowledge of railway standards such as AREMA/UIC/EN
