Job summary

Ashita Business Solutions in Bengaluru is seeking a Senior Track Design Engineer to design ballastless track structures including plinth track, slab track on viaducts and on-grade, as well as steel pedestal track and level crossings.

The role requires 5–8 years of experience in railway structures, with detailed knowledge of concrete and steel design per Eurocode and ACI, and proficiency in Midas Civil, Staad Pro, Adsec, and other FEM software.

Qualifications

• M.E./M.Tech in structural engineering with 5–8 years in railway structures (bridges, ballastless track slabs, steel structures).
• Detailed knowledge of concrete and steel design per Eurocode and ACI.
• Proficiency in Midas Civil, Staad Pro, Adsec, and any FEM software.

Responsibilities

• Design ballastless track structures (Plinth track, Slab Track on viaduct, Slab track on At-grade, Steel Pedestal track, Level crossings).
• Design miscellaneous track structures (Ballast containments, At-grade slabs, Transition slabs, Sleepers).
• Prepare design basis reports and calculation reports, technical specifications.
• Rail structures interaction studies.
• Manage interface requirements between track and other systems.
• Guide junior engineers on structural designs.
• Coordinate with CAD/BIM teams for drawings and models.

Position: Senior Track Design Engineer

Location: Bengaluru/PAN India

Missions/Main Duties (English)

• Design of ballastless track structures such as Plinth track, Slab Track on viaduct, Slab track on At-grade, Steel Pedestal track, Level crossing track etc.
• Design of Miscellaneous Track structures such as Ballast containments, At-grade slabs, Transition slabs, Sleepers
• Prepare key design documents like design basis reports and calculation reports, technical specifications etc
• Rail Structures Interaction studies
• Understand and manage interface requirements between track and other systems.
• Guiding junior engineers regarding the structural designs.
• Coordination with CAD and BIM team for production of drawings and models and review it as per the project requirement.

Profile/Skills (English)

• ME./M.Tech degree in structural engineering with 5 to 8 years of experience in railway structures (Bridges, Ballastless Track slabs, steel structures etc.)
• Detailed knowledge of design of concrete and steel structures as per Eurocode and ACI.
• Proficiency in Midas Civil, Staad Pro, Adsec, any FEM Software
• Knowledge in Structural behaviour, Structural Dynamics, Track components such as turnouts and crossovers, buffer stop etc.
• Detailed knowledge of interface with track structures
• Knowledge of railway standards such as AREMA/UIC/EN
