Job summary

DB Engineering is seeking a Senior Engineer - Rail Structures for a project in Bengaluru. You will lead structural analysis, design and optimization of railway structures, ensuring quality and compliance with codes. The role includes mentoring junior engineers and supporting coordination with Leads.

You will review calculations, drawings and BIM models, guiding the team through technical decisions and reviews to deliver robust infrastructure solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; postgraduate in Structural Engineering preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in independent structural analysis, design and checking of railway structures (bridges).
• Experience with RCC design and PSC/steel structures.

Job Summary

For our project in Bangalore, we are looking for a Senior Engineer - Rail Structures.

Responsibilities

• Independently handle structural analysis, design, and optimization of complex railway structures.
• Review and validate design calculations, drawings, BIM models, and technical reports.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to Graduate, Junior, and Design Engineers.
• Support Lead Engineers in design coordination, technical resolution, and quality control.
• Ensure design deliverables comply with codes, standards, and project quality procedures.
• Participate in technical reviews, coordination meetings, and interface management.

Qualification

• Graduate in Civil Engineering. Postgraduate qualification in Structural Engineering with 7+ years is preferred.
• Proven capability in independent structural analysis, design, and technical checking of railway structures (majorly Bridges).
• Experience in RCC structural design, with working knowledge of steel and prestressed concrete (PSC) structures.
• Strong expertise in design codes, standards, and project quality procedures across all design stages.
• Experience in reviewing design calculations, drawings, BIM models, and technical documenta-tion.
• Ability to technically guide junior engineers and ensure consistency and quality of design outputs.
• Capability to assist Lead Engineers in design coordination and technical decision-making.
• Working knowledge and experience in designing structures with InfoCAD and Sofistik.
