Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled anddetail-oriented Railway Structural Engineer – Bridge Design to join ourdynamic engineering team focused on the design, analysis, and deliveryof critical railway infrastructure. This role is central to ensuring thesafety, durability, and long-term performance of railway bridges acrosshigh-speed and conventional rail networks. The ideal candidate willpossess in-depth expertise in reinforced and prestressed concrete (RCC& PSC) bridge design, with proven experience in advanced structuralanalysis software and BIM-based modeling. You will play a pivotal rolein developing an innovative, sustainable, and code-compliant bridgesolutions that meet stringent railway standards, including ROB (RailwayOver bridge), RUB (Railway Under bridge), and other specialized types. Your work will directly impact the reliability and efficiency ofrail transportation systems, contributing to national infrastructuredevelopment and operational safety. Responsibilities:
- Leadthe structural design and analysis of railway bridges, includingover bridges (ROB), under bridges (RUB), and other specialized structures.
- Performdetailed design calculations for RCC and PSC bridge components usingindustry-standard software including MIDAS Civil, CSI Bridge, SAP2000,and STAAD Pro.
- Develop and maintain BIM-based bridge modelsusing Revit and other BIM platforms, ensuring seamless integration withproject delivery workflows.
- Conduct structural assessments,load analysis, and dynamic response evaluations under live train loads,wind, seismic, and thermal effects.
- Ensure compliance withnational and international railway bridge design codes (e.g., IndianRailways Code, AASHTO, Eurocodes) and project-specific requirements.
- Collaboratewith multidisciplinary teams including civil, mechanical, and railwayoperations engineers to deliver integrated bridge solutions.
- Prepare detailed construction drawings, technical specifications, and design reports for review and approval.
- Support site inspections, construction monitoring, and troubleshooting during implementation phases.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, materials, and design methodologies in railway bridge engineering.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives within the engineering department.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with specialization in Structural Engineering.
- Minimumof 5 years of hands‑on experience in railway bridge design,preferably in a consulting or infrastructure development firm.
- Proficiency in RCC and PSC bridge design, including detailing, load distribution, and crack control.
- Advanced expertise in structural analysis and design software: MIDAS Civil, CSI Bridge, SAP2000, STAAD Pro.
- Strong experience in BIM-based bridge modeling using Revit and integration with project lifecycle workflows.
- In-depth knowledge of Railway Bridges, including ROB, RUB, and other railway-specific bridge types.
- Familiarity with railway loading standards (e.g., IRC:6, Indian Railways Loading Gauges, and dynamic impact factors).
- Excellent technical documentation, drawing production, and report‑writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in fast‑paced project environments.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to safety and quality.
- Willingness to travel for site visits and client meetings as required.
