Job summary

Hinduja Gruppe in Pune seeks an experienced Lead Engineer to head closure design and development for BIW components such as doors, tailgates and hoods in passenger cars.

Proficiency in CATIA and PLM (Teamcenter) with DFMEA/DVP knowledge is required, along with sheet metal design and supplier interaction skills. BE/B.Tech with 8–15 years in automotive is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in Closure (Door, Tailgate & Hood) design & development for automotive OEMs.
• Hands-on BIW closure design experience for passenger cars.
• Understanding of design changes on Door/Tailgate/Hood parts and related fixtures.
• At least one complete project execution of closure parts in passenger cars.
• Knowledge of DFMEA, DVP, DFA and engineering documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of BIW closure systems (Door, Tailgate, Hood).
• Coordinate with suppliers, review part development and provide technical guidance.
• Prepare and deliver concept/master section presentations; support GD&T analyses.

Job Description:

• Experience in Closure (Door, Tailgate & Hood) Design & Development at Automobile OEM around 5 to 10 years of experience,
• Must have hands on experience in automobile domain having worked on BIW closure (Door, Tailgate & Hood) systems and their subsystem designs.
• Basic understanding of Design/ Design changes on Door, Tailgate & Hood parts (Inner /Outer panel, Reinforcement, Hinges etc.) for Automotive Sector.
• At least one complete project execution of Door, Tailgate & Hood parts experience for passenger car project added advantage.
• Candidate should be experienced in Catia and PLM software’s like Team center, Sound knowledge of engineering and system documents like DFMEA, DVP, DFA etc. Good technical knowledge of automotive Sheet metal parts, manufacturing and assembly -process.
• Should be able to prepare & deliver presentations of the concepts/master section. Should be able to do tolerance stack up & GD&T added advantage.
• Hand on experience in Part development/supplier interaction added advantage. Composite material experience is added advantage Sheet metal Design and Development, Plastic part Design and development added advantage Regulatory requirements and homologation
