Job summary

Talent Corner Hr Services in Pune invites a Design Engineer to join our Automotive Interiors team. You will contribute to IP/DP/cockpit design, create 3D models and drawings, and participate in design reviews under the Lead Engineer.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of automotive interior design experience, strong CATIA/NX CAD skills, and excellent communication. English proficiency and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Automobile/Production Engineering.
• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred; significant professional experience considered.
• 1–3 years design experience in automotive interiors or related domains.
• Proficiency in CATIA and high CAD capability.
• English communication skills; multilingual environment beneficial.
• Ability to lead, collaborate and participate in design reviews.
• Knowledge of Quality basics and process discipline.

Responsibilities

• Design IP, DP, console, pillar trims and cockpit components per project input.
• Create 3D models and drawings meeting engineering specs using CAD tools.
• Participate in design reviews and follow lead engineer direction.
• Ensure CAD data management and folder structure adherence.
• Meet customer expectations for quality, cost and delivery.
• Address assembly/tooling/design issues and propose solutions.
• Adhere to shift schedule and work across multiple projects.
• Maintain templates/macros usage and project milestone deliverables.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to achieve targets.
• Support design development through to release and documentation.
• Communicate clearly with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure knowledge transfer and training to team members.
• Document changes and maintain design integrity across revisions.
• Support continuous improvement in design processes.

Looking for Position: Design Engineer

Location: Pune

Role & responsibilities

• 1) IP / DP / Console, Pillar trims, Cockpit design knowledge
• 2) Strong CAD Skill CATIA
• 3) Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in IP / DP / Console, cockpit, Pillar Trims design.
• 4) Responsible for the design of the parts of the respective zones w.r.t. the project input by the Lead Engineer.
• 5) Follow the work description sent by the counterpart.
• 6) To be able to participate in design reviews.
• 7) Follow the systems and procedures of AESOFT Engineering / Customer.
• 8) Meet customers expectations in terms of quality, cost and delivery of projects assigned.
• 9) Complete the assignment within the estimated time on or before the decided delivery date.
• 10) Anticipate the potential issues regarding assembly, tooling, design flaws, etc. and intimate the Lead Engineer.
• 11) Be innovative and propose various design solutions.
• 12) Ensure maximum usage of templates and macros.
• 13) To adhere and respect shift schedule and timings.
• 14) To ensure flexibility and multi-tasking to work in different work groups and projects.
• 15) To ensure folder structure and CAD data management.
• 16) Ensure regular design reviews with Lead Engineer.
• 17) Uses appropriate software to develop 3D models and drawings that meet engineering specifications.
• 18) Responsible for assigned parts by Lead Engineer.

Qualifications :

The ideal candidate will have/be: 1) Minimum education level: Bachelors Degree in Mechanical / Automobile / Production Engineering

Experience :

• 1) Master's, bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering, or significant professional experience
• 2) Total 1 to 3 years relevant experience in design in automotive interior design
• 3) English required, and customers language strongly encouraged
• 4) Able to work in a multicultural environment.
• 5) Advanced knowledge of CAD software including CATIA, NX.
• 6) Knowledge of 7 Quality basics.
• 7) Leadership skills, Teamleader with strong communication skills

Skills and Competencies :

• 1) Thorough knowledge in program specific CAD software.
• 2) Significant experience on design of interiors plastic products.
• 3) Good knowledge of CAD Methodology and best practices. and tooling knowledge
• 4) Knowledge of assigned program timing and deliverables at each milestone
• 5) Excellent communication skills, demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels.
• 6) PC Literacy : Microsoft Project, Power point, Excel, Word etc.
