Job description

The purpose of this role is to provide significant technical expertise in architecture planning and design of the concerned tower (platform, database, middleware, backup, etc.) as well as managing its day‑to‑day operations.

Responsibilities

• Architecture planning, migration & installation support
  • Lead the structural/architectural design of platform, middleware, database, backup solutions per system requirements ensuring scalability and extensibility.
  • Conduct technology capacity planning by reviewing current and future requirements.
  • Utilize and leverage new features of all underlying technologies to ensure smooth functioning of installed databases and applications/platforms.
  • Strategize and implement disaster recovery and backup plans.
• Day‑to‑day operations management
  • Troubleshoot issues, conduct root cause analysis, and develop fixes to prevent recurrence.
  • Plan and manage upgrades, migrations, maintenance, backup, installation, and configuration for own tower.
  • Review technical performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce challenges.
  • Develop shift roster to ensure continuous operation.
  • Create and update SOPs, Data Responsibility Matrices, operations manuals, daily test plans, data architecture guidance.
  • Provide weekly status reports to client leadership and stakeholders on database activities, progress, updates, status, and next steps.
  • Leverage technology to develop Service Improvement Plans (SIP) through automation and other initiatives.

• Operations of the tower adhering to SLA, CSAT, and customer experience metrics.
• Identification of risk issues and mitigation plans.
• Timely delivery of new projects with avoidance of unauthorized changes.
• No formal escalations.
