Job summary

Taxmann Publications seeks an IT System Administrator to manage Windows and Linux servers, AD, file and web/app servers, and databases. You will handle installation, troubleshooting, backups, and performance monitoring while supporting ongoing IT projects and server upgrades.

The role requires familiarity with virtualization technologies and cloud basics, along with proactive incident response and collaboration with management.

Qualifications

• Experience installing/troubleshooting Windows and Linux servers.
• Managing Active Directory, file services and web servers.
• Basic knowledge of cloud management and virtualization.

Responsibilities

• Active Directory, file Server, Web Server and Application Server management.
• Install and troubleshoot databases like MS-SQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, PostgreSQL.
• Install new Windows/Linux servers and desktops; assist management with patching.
• Monitor server performance, backups, and uptime; respond to escalated issues.
• Assist with ongoing IT projects and server upgrades.

Job description

• Active Directory, file Server, Web Server (IIS, Apache, Nginx) and Application Server Management
• Database Server like MS-SQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, PostgreSQL installation, troubleshooting and Backup
• Installation of New Windows Server, Linux and Desktop systems
• Windows Server and Linux application/ Software like VB, C# , .net etc. installation and troubleshooting
• Basic knowledge of Public cloud management like AWS, Azure etc
• Virtual Hypervisor management like Hyper-V or Esxi
• Virtual Machine/Server management and Backup
• Troubleshooting basic server hardware and OS issues
• Assist management, patch deployment and server up-gradation
• Monitor and maintain server(s) performance and availability, troubleshooting OS issues
