Job summary

Niveshan Technologies is seeking an experienced IT professional to provide Server Support (Wintel) at L2 level, handling escalated incident and problem management. The role emphasizes maintaining Windows/Linux servers, virtualization, and mail service availability.

The candidate will work on Windows Server, VMware, Citrix, Linux, and related technologies, performing configuration, patching, and security hardening while ensuring high availability of production infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Experience managing Windows Server environments and domain services.
• Strong knowledge of VMware, Citrix, Linux server admin, and related tools.
• Experience with backup, restore, patch management and security hardening.

Responsibilities

• Handle Level-2 incident and problem management; drive root cause analysis.
• Administer Windows Server platforms, Domain Controllers, and related services.
• Manage VMware, Citrix, and Linux servers including configuration and patching.
• Perform OS hardening, patch testing, and change implementation.
• Analyze logs, monitor performance, and optimize server resources.
• Execute backup configurations and restoration drills; ensure data integrity.
• Oversee production infrastructure deployment and routine server reinstallation.

Server Support Wintel Works independently towards providing support for escalated incident/problem management requirements (L2 support).

Responsibilities

• Expert on different Wintel Technologies and OS related applications, resolves at least 80% of calls routed to him/her , without having to dispatch to service partners.
• In-depth knowledge of troubleshooting on Wintel Platform and knowledge of server maintenance/configurations (Windows Server OS, VMware, Citrix, Novell).
• Windows Support L2 Add / Remove Domain / Domain Controllers, Trusts Administration, Sites And Subnets Administration Site Links Administration, Global Catalog Servers, Movement Of Users Between OUs, Organization
• Define Administrator / Supervisor Password restrictions.
• Managing Disk space, Processor Utilization, Network Utilization related to server.
