Job summary

Nelito System in Mumbai seeks an L2 Application Support Engineer with exposure to the Banking domain to join a production support team. You will monitor, troubleshoot, and manage patch deployment on Windows servers, ensuring SLAs are met and DR drills are conducted.

The role requires 1–3 years of relevant experience, with readiness for 24x7 rotational shifts and coordination with multiple IT teams. This is a full-time permanent position based in Mumbai.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in Application Support (L2).
• Strong Monitoring & Troubleshooting skills with enterprise tools.
• Patch Management & Patch Deployment on Windows Servers.
• Exposure to DR Drills and ITIL processes.
• Good networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls).

Responsibilities

• Provide L2 application support for banking applications.
• Monitor application health, server performance and alerts.
• Troubleshoot issues within SLA (app, server, network).
• Plan and deploy patches on Windows Servers.
• Conduct DR drills and ensure failover readiness.
• Coordinate with L1/L3, infra and vendors for escalation.
• Manage incidents, problems and changes per ITIL.
• Maintain SOPs, runbooks, and incident reports.
• Assist networking tasks (basic connectivity and firewall coordination).

Job Summary

We are looking for an L2 Application Support Engineer with 13 years of experience in application monitoring, troubleshooting, patch management, and Windows Server administration. The ideal candidate should have exposure to the Banking domain and be comfortable working in a production support environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L2 application support for business-critical banking applications
• Monitor application health, server performance, and system alerts using monitoring tools
• Troubleshoot and resolve application, server, and network-related issues within SLA
• Perform patch management planning, testing, and patch deployment on Windows Servers
• Execute DR (Disaster Recovery) drills and ensure readiness of failover environments
• Coordinate with L1, L3, infrastructure, and vendor teams for issue escalation and resolution
• Handle incident, problem, and change management as per ITIL processes
• Maintain documentation SOPs, runbooks, incident reports, and knowledge base
• Support networking-related activities (basic troubleshooting, connectivity, firewall coordination)

Required Skills

• 1–3 years of experience in Application Support (L2)
• Strong knowledge of Monitoring & Troubleshooting (tools like Nagios, SCOM, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Grafana – any)
• Hands-on experience in Patch Management & Patch Deployment (WSUS, SCCM, or similar)
• Experience in conducting DR Drills
• Good understanding of Networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, load balancers)
• Strong Windows Server administration skills (2012/2016/2019/2022)
• Exposure to the Banking / BFSI domain is mandatory
• Knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem Management)
• Willingness to work in 24x7 rotational shifts
