Job summary

Smart IMS Inc. is seeking an experienced L2 Production/Application Support Engineer to manage critical banking and credit card applications.

You will monitor production systems, troubleshoot incidents, perform RCA, and implement preventive measures in a Linux/Unix environment with strong SQL skills. You will work with monitoring tools like Grafana, Kibana, Elastic, Splunk, and AppDynamics, and use ServiceNow/Jira/Confluence for ticketing and change management.

Qualifications

• L2 Application/Production Support for banking and credit card apps.
• Experience with Linux/Unix environments.
• Strong SQL and database troubleshooting.
• Familiar with monitoring tools Grafana, Kibana, Elastic, Splunk or AppDynamics.
• Experience with ticketing tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence.
• Exposure to incident and problem management processes.
• Support batch processing and job scheduling.
• Perform RCA and preventive actions.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting critical production applications, monitoring system performance, resolving incidents, and ensuring seamless operation of credit card and payment-related systems.

• Provide L2 Application/Production Support for banking and credit card applications.


• Monitor production systems and proactively identify potential issues.


• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production incidents within defined SLAs.


• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures.


• Support batch processing, job scheduling, and application releases.


• Analyze application logs and database issues to ensure system stability.


• Hands‑on experience with Linux/Unix environments.


• Strong SQL and database troubleshooting skills.


• Experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Kibana, Elastic, Splunk, AppDynamics, or equivalent.
