Job summary

P K Behura & Co Infra is seeking an experienced civil engineer to supervise day-to-day construction on government and institutional projects. The role involves ensuring works align with approved drawings, specifications, and schedules, and coordinating with contractors and vendors on site in Odisha.

The ideal candidate should hold a Civil Engineering degree and have 5+ years in relevant projects, with strong AutoCAD and MS Excel skills for reporting and quantity management.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• 5+ years in civil construction projects.
• 5+ years in Government Building, CPWD, PSU, or Institutional Construction Projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for drawing review.
• Strong MS Excel skills for reporting and quantity tracking.
• Familiarity with CPWD IS codes and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor day-to-day civil construction activities at the project site.
• Ensure execution of works as per approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
• Oversee RCC, masonry, plastering, flooring, waterproofing, and finishing works.
• Assist in site planning, material management, and work progress tracking.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and project stakeholders for smooth execution.
• Maintain site records, daily progress reports, and work documentation.
• Verify measurements and quantities as per BOQ and approved drawings.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety requirements, and government project specifications.
• Prepare reports, schedules, and project updates using MS Excel and MS Office tools.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings using AutoCAD.

• Ability to read and understand architectural, structural, and service drawings.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for drawing review and coordination.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Excel for reporting, quantity tracking, and project management.
• Basic knowledge of MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
• Familiarity with CPWD specifications, IS codes, and quality standards.
• Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
