Job summary

Master Handlers Pvt. Ltd. in Pune district seeks a Quality Inspector to conduct in-depth inspections of materials and finished products using vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges. You will monitor process parameters and support root-cause analysis for quality improvements.

Candidate will maintain inspection reports, calibration records, and logs for audits, while collaborating with production and purchasing teams to troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with mechanical drawings, tolerances, and machine operation.
• Skilled with height gauges, bore gauges, slip gauges, and dial indicators.
• Ability to analyze data and suggest process improvements.
• Clear reporting of quality issues and cross-functional coordination.
• Basic MS Excel, ERP systems, and possibly SPC software.

Responsibilities

• Inspect raw materials, in-process components, and finished products using precision tools.
• Monitor parameters such as pressure, temperature, and cycle times to ensure quality.
• Identify recurring defects and assist root-cause analysis (5 Whys).
• Maintain inspection reports, calibration records, and quality logs for audits.
• Collaborate with production and purchasing to troubleshoot and implement corrective actions.

Role & responsibilities

• Quality Inspection & Testing:Conduct in-depth inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products using tools like vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Process Monitoring: Track parameters like pressure, temperature, and cycle times in hot press and hydraulic machines to ensure consistent product quality.
• Defect Analysis: Identify recurring issues in lamination or conveyor systems and assist in root cause analysis using tools like 5 Whys.
• Documentation:Maintaininspection reports, calibration records, and quality logs for audits and traceability.
• Collaboration:Work closely with production and purchaseteams to troubleshoot quality issues and implement corrective actions.

System-Specific Focus

Material handling system, Short cycle press, Hot Press & Hydraulic Press: final performance testing as per inspection check sheets, cycle time reading, overall visual inspection painting quality.
