Job summary

VR Coatings Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform incoming, in-process and final inspections of raw materials, components, and finished products. You will read engineering drawings, verify with CALIPERs, Micrometers and gauges, and ensure products meet required standards.

Freshers may apply, with a diploma/BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering. Knowledge of GD&T, CAPA and basic quality systems will be an advantage in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• 01 year of experience in Quality Inspection / Quality Assurance / Manufacturing Quality.

• Basic knowledge of engineering drawings, GD&T and dimensional inspection.
• Knowledge of Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Gauges, Height Gauges and other measuring instruments.
• Basic understanding of quality inspection, quality assurance and manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of 5 Why, Fishbone Analysis, CAPA, 7 QC Tools will be an advantage.
• Good analytical, observation and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Willingness to work in a manufacturing / production / warehouse environment.
• Candidates should be willing to work as per production requirements and shift schedules, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in-process and final inspection of raw materials, components and finished products.
• Conduct quality inspections as per engineering drawings, specifications, quality standards and customer requirements.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensional specifications and technical documents.
• Perform dimensional inspection using Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Gauges, Height Gauges and other measuring instruments.
• Ensure products meet defined quality and dimensional requirements before moving to the next process or dispatch.
• Identify and report quality defects, deviations and non-conformities.
• Support investigation of quality issues, root cause analysis and CAPA.
• Maintain inspection reports, quality records, rejection reports and other documentation.
• Coordinate with Production, Stores, Engineering and other departments to resolve quality-related issues.
• Support implementation of quality standards, inspection procedures and process controls.
• Assist in continuous improvement, defect reduction and process quality improvement.
• Ensure proper handling and calibration/verification of measuring and inspection instruments.
• Follow company quality, safety and manufacturing procedures.
