Job summary

Ultra Corpotech Pvt. Ltd. in Pune, India seeks an Engineer in Quality Assurance with relevant experience in fabrication and machining. The role focuses on inspection management, ensuring calibration status of gauges, and strengthening the quality system across manufacturing stages.

The candidate should have 6–8 years’ diploma or 4–6 years’ degree experience, with exposure to ISO/TS 16949, VT, ISO 5817 Level C, and EN ISO 9712, and will drive root-cause analysis and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering with 6–8 years' experience or Graduate with 4–6 years' experience.
• Experience in fabrication, machining manufacturing with painting process knowledge.
• Hands-on with quality tools and standards (GD&T, TS 16949, VT, ISO 5817, EN ISO 9712).

Responsibilities

• Manage inspection activities and decision making for dispatch and internal processes.
• Ensure calibration status of QIP, visuals, AOI, drawings and gauges.
• Review NCRs and implement corrective actions; monitor in-process inspections.
• Coordinate with customers and third-party inspections; support audits and documentation.

JOB Description

Role Title: In process & final Quality

Function:Quality Assurance

Sub-Function:CBS quality

Level:Engineer

Role Purpose:

• Resolve quality issues & improve Quality System throughout the manufacturing process

Key Accountabilities

Management of inspection activities & decision making

• Arrange and ensure inspection of urgent parts for dispatch / internal process.
• Ensure the availability of QIP, Visual standards, AOI, drawings & Gauges with calibration status.
• Daily scrap review with subcon & Plant Q.A. for internal in process rejection.
• Arrangements for inspection of new development samples
• Monitor In process inspection activities.
• Customer Documentation-Process Documents -
• (Balloon Drawings/ITP/PFD/QAP/Weld Map/Weld plan/SOP's etc.
• MTC Review and compilation & Submission to customer.
• PFD/PFMEA/CP preparation & update based on customer /process requirement
• Coordinate and participate in customer and Third-Party Inspections (TPI).
• Non-Conformance Analysis: Analyze Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and implement corrective actions.

Improve Quality performance by executing good systems and processes

• Initiate & implementation of actions required for related Internal Concerns as well External Concerns
• Verification & validation of root cause, MOM with concern customer & 8D Closure through corrective & preventive actions.
• Verify the Production trial run, make observations, ensure adherence to all quality and compliance of concerned customer requirement.
• Conducting the in-process Audits as per plan, MOM & communication.
• Conducting meeting with customer.
• Ensure compliance to customer audit, external QMS audit and on time closing of audit observations.
• Initiate & Implementation of Kaizens & Poka-yoke
• Knowledge of quality tools.
• Specific Experience / Qualifications required:

• Must be an Engg. Diploma with 6 to 8 years or Graduate with 4 to 6 years of experience.
• Experience is desirable.
• Experience in fabrication, machining manufacturing industry with Painting Process Knowledge.
• Must be hands on experience with quality tools, GD & T ,exposure with QMS like ISO/ TS 16949, VT (Visual Testing) , ISO 5817 Level C , EN ISO 9712 .
