Job summary

Economy Process Solutions is seeking a Jr. Design Engineer in Maharashtra for mechanical design of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, columns, reactors, and storage tanks.

You will perform calculations, prepare datasheets, and review drawings for ASME Section VIII Div.1/2 and related codes. Ideal candidates have 2-5 years of experience in static equipment design, hands-on PV Elite/AutoCAD/Excel, and strong analytical and communication skills to coordinate with process, procurement, fabrication,

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 2-5 years of relevant experience in mechanical design.
• Experience with static equipment design and related codes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform mechanical design and calculations for pressure vessels, heat exchangers, columns, reactors, and storage tanks.
• Knowledge of rotary equipment such as ATFE, SPDU, RVPD, gear box, mechanical seal, and motor.
• Ensure compliance with ASME Section VIII Div. 1/2, TEMA, API, and project specifications.
• Prepare and review equipment datasheets, calculations, specifications, and GA drawings.
• Perform thickness, nozzle reinforcement, flange, support, and external pressure/vacuum calculations.
• Coordinate with process, procurement, fabrication, and quality teams.
• Resolve technical queries and support fabrication, inspection, and testing.
• Conduct independent technical reviews.

Experience: 2-5 Years
Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
Industry: Oil & Gas / Refinery / Petrochemical / Chemical

Job Responsibilities

• Independently perform mechanical design and calculations for pressure vessels, heat exchangers, columns, reactors, and storage tanks.
• Also have knowledge of rotary equipments like ATFE, SPDU, RVPD. Gear box, Mechanical seal, and Motor etc.
• Ensure compliance with ASME Section VIII Div. 1/2, TEMA, API, and applicable project specifications.
• Prepare and review equipment datasheets, mechanical design calculations, technical specifications, and GA drawings.
• Perform thickness, nozzle reinforcement, flange, support, and external pressure/vacuum calculations.
• Coordinate with process, procurement, fabrication, and quality teams.
• Resolve technical queries and provide support during fabrication, inspection, and testing.
• Conduct independent technical reviews.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of static equipment design, applicable codes, and fabrication practices.
• Hands-on experience with PV Elite, AutoCAD, and Excel.
• Ability to independently execute design calculations and technical reviews.
• Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience

• 2–5 years of relevant experience in static equipment design.
• Experience in Chemical, oil and gas, refinery, or petrochemical projects.
