Job summary

Lead Hr Services in Chennai region is seeking a Jr. Engineer/Engineer Production with 1-2 years (Jr.) or 3-5 years (Engineer) experience. Diploma/ BE/ BTech in Mechanical or Production is required. The role involves managing welding lines, ensuring PPE, and driving lean manufacturing initiatives.

Candidate should be located within 10–15 km or be willing to relocate, with strong MS Office skills and knowledge of SAP a plus.

Qualifications

• 20-35 years age range.
• Good command of MS Office (Word & Excel).
• 1-2 years for Jr. Engineer; 3-5 years for Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Independently handle manpower across all welding lines.
• Ensure PPE compliance and 4M principles (Man, Machine, Material, Method).
• Monitor hourly production output and achieve targets.
• Control rework and rejections; ensure shift end clearance.
• Conduct multi-skilling and operator training on process/product needs.
• Maintain startup check sheets and continuous production flow.
• Implement 5S on the shop floor and promote Kaizen.
• Ensure Poka-Yoke systems are in place on all welding lines.
• Maintain process parameter check sheets and related docs.
• Ensure production of quality products per customer/QA standards.
• Identify/eliminate non-value-added activities to reduce costs.
• Monitor Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and drive improvements.

Educational Qualification: Diploma/ B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or relevant field

20-35 Years

Good Command on MS Office (Word & Excel)

1-2 Years (Jr. Engineer) 3-5 years (Engineer)

Residing within the vicinity of 10 to 15 Km Radius or Ready to Relocate.

• Good knowledge of welding processes and manufacturing operations.
• Experience in automotive manufacturing and fabrication.
• Ability to transform raw metal sheets into precise automotive components.
• Knowledge of SAP will be an added advantage.
• Understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
• Strong shop-floor management and team handling skills.

• Ensure compliance with PPE requirements and adherence to 4M principles (Man, Machine, Material, Method).
• Monitor hourly production output and achieve production targets.

• Work towards reducing manufacturing waste from raw material to finished product.
