Job summary

Advik is hiring for a Manager - Production at Bangalore to lead plant operations, drive budgets, and optimize production processes. The role requires TPM expertise, experience in machining and assembly, and deep knowledge of IATF 16949 and SAP PP/MM.

The candidate will oversee a 5-10 member team, coordinate with QA, ME, Materials and HR, and ensure on-time delivery while maintaining quality and cost controls.

Qualifications

BE/BTECh focused on mechanical/automobile engineering.
Experience in TPM and automotive manufacturing environments.
Knowledge of IATF 16949 and quality systems.

Responsibilities

Plan and control overall plant operations to ensure optimum production.
Drive annual manufacturing budget and monitor costs.
Ensure production targets are met within time and cost parameters.
Develop new process concepts for optimization and yield improvement.
Coordinate with PPC & stores for raw material availability.
Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, EMS, OSHAS, TPM.

Job Purpose

Plan and control overall plant operations so as to ensure optimum production at desired quality level within the targeted budget.

Principal Duties, Responsibilities & Accountabilities

1. Planning
Drive the annual manufacturing budget based on market requirement.
Estimate, negotiate and agree on budgets and timescales with clients and managers.
Adhere to annual and monthly budget & cost monitoring, statutory Compliances
2. Execution
Ensure production as per standard cycle time and monitor operator efficiency for (machine shop and assembly
Work out and implement standard operating procedures for production operations.
Control all losses and monitor OEE /OLE machine shop & assembly
Coordinate with PPC & stores for availability of raw material for production.
Ensure achievement of production targets and achieve the same within time and cost parameters.
Develop new process concepts for production optimization, yield improvement and develop guidelines for the sequencing of manufacturing activities on the shop floor.
3. Monitoring
Monitor customer requirement & getting produced on daily basis.
Ensure on time delivery at the customer end and no line loss.
Work out and implement standard operating procedures for production operations
Ensure manpower allocation as per shift and previous shift feedback and monitor all product set up approval charts
Ensure programming and setting of CNC, VMC Machines
Ensure daily monitoring & review of machine shop production in terms of SQPCDM
Ensure system implementation - IATF 16949, EMS, OSHAS, TPM, Six sigma
Optimize man & machine utilization to achieve pre-set production targets.
