Job summary

Advik is seeking an Engineer for Production Assembly Shop at Bangalore. The role involves ensuring line output meets the monthly plan for aluminum and steel parts, coordinating operator allocation, and driving productivity improvements.

You will work with cross-functional teams to maintain quality and safety standards, and participate in TPM and process controls. The position requires BE/Diploma/ITI in mechanical/automotive engineering with relevant experience, including CNC/VMC/HMC knowledge

Responsibilities

Achieve Production Plan vs. Actual for Aluminum and Steel Parts.
Plan adjustments to meet daily requirements.
Allocate operators per skill matrix and multi-skill operators.
Achieve OEE targets and monitor tool consumption.
Train new operators and lead setup changes.
Ensure safety, quality compliance, and proper documentation.

Job Purpose

Ensure that products or components being produced in Line meet specified quality standards and to collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective and preventive actions, to achieve productivity and quality performance as per set targets.

Principal Duties, Responsibilities & Accountabilities

1. Production Management System (PDCA role)
- Achieve Production Plan vs. Actual as per the Monthly Production Plan in Machine Shop for Aluminum and Steel Parts.
- Plan adjustment to meet daily requirements.
- Allocate the operator as per skill matrix and work for multi skilling of operators.
- Achieve the OEE as per set targets for the year.
- Monitor the consumption of Cutting Tools/consumable as per plan and to control the losses.
- Ensure Daily JH or CLITA of Machines.
- Ensure updates of Tooling History Card as per Process Control Plan.
- Train the new operators in OJT.
- Trouble shooting at line to achieve Production and Quality Targets.
- Handle the line independently during Shift.
- Production report booking in SAP at end of shift.
- Lead the Setup change over independently.
2. Quality Control
- Ensure inspection being carried out by Operators as per Process Control Plan & educate the operators for critical feedback related to inspection.
- Ensure Rejection/Rework Parts proper storage in respective Std. Bins and location to avoid mix up.
- Achieve Quality Performance as per set target of the year.
- Support to Line Inspectors for abnormality correction on real time basis.
3. Quality Management System
- Participate and ensure all documentation and records mgmt. as per Plant Quality Management System.
- Participate in Process Audit/Product Audit as per Annual Plan.
- Participate in establishment of Safety Management System OHSAS 18001 & Environment Management System ISO 14001, along with Plant HR and Maint. Function.
- Participate in TPM Activities as per Plant TPM Structure requirements, for Plant Manufacturing Excellence journey.
- Identify and implement measures to increase productivity, such as cycle time reduction, automation, Process elimination and workflow improvements.
- Identify improvement opportunities in manufacturing processes related to Cost Reduction, Tooling Cost reduction, Consumable Cost reduction, Safety improvement, Ergonomics and implement Kaizen.
- Manpower reduction by low-cost automation.
5. Safety Management
- Ensure daily verification of all Safety Checks, Safety Poka Yoke in working condition.
- Continuously promote the process improvements for Safety compliances.
- Ensure usage of PPE as per norms or SOP.
