Job summary

PeopleStrong is seeking a process/chemical engineer for on-site roles in Mumbai. The job involves performing simulation studies, sizing equipment and lines, and preparing PFDs/P&IDs along with datasheets and operating manuals.

You will also handle safety diagrams, hydraulic calculations, and contribute to contract execution under lead engineers. Candidate should hold a BTech and an MTech and have familiarity with process simulations and engineering deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Engineering (BTech) and a master's in technology (MTech) are required.
• Experience in process simulation, PFD/P&ID, and datasheet preparation is expected.
• Knowledge of piping, instrumentation, and rotating equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform simulation studies and develop Heat & Mass Balance.
• Size equipment, instruments and lines.
• Prepare PFD and P&ID.
• Prepare datasheets for rotating, static and instruments.
• Estimate power load.
• Prepare engineering documents, reports and operating manuals.
• Prepare SAFE charts, Cause & Effect diagrams.
• Flare, blowdown & depressurization calculations.
• Perform hydraulic calculations of network lines.
• Provide engineering support to lead engineers for contract execution.
• Ensure documents/deliverables comply with procedures and checklists.

• To anticipate and discuss any potential delays and problems, if any with the Lead Engineer
• To co-ordinate with the fellow Job Engineers and Lead Engineers for smooth progress of the contract
• To close audit findings in a timely manner.
• To provide inputs as and when required to the relevant disciplines and to designers
• To identify the inputs required for Need list and Hold list and update.To follow all CPs/DPs and Job specific procedures during contract Execution.
• To prepare and check documents/deliverables as per relavent procedures and check lists.
