Job summary

ASSPL, Amazon’s India Fulfillment Center IT team, is seeking an IT Support Associate to troubleshoot hardware and software issues within the Fulfillment Center. You will serve as the first level of IT support, helping operations staff and guiding Technical Support Technicians while representing the IT department to internal customers.

The role emphasizes strong technical aptitude, analytical problem-solving and effective communication to maintain operational readiness and quickly resolve

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of corporate setting Windows, Mac or Linux OS support.
  • Experience troubleshooting integrated and interdependent computer systems.
  • Experience maintaining zebra thermal printers, troubleshooting thin clients, PCs, scanners and portable handheld terminals.

Responsibilities

  • The IT Support Associate must diagnose and resolve technical issues across hardware and software.
  • Assist operations team and mentor Technical Support Technicians as needed.
  • Handle network engineering and troubleshooting, project coordination and data cabling.
  • Perform systems administration in diverse software/hardware environments; root cause analysis.
  • Support daily department activities and coordinate with IT to ensure uptime.

Key job responsibilities

The IT Support Associate must have an excellent understanding of computers (both hardware and software) and a demonstrated willingness to learn and apply new technology. They must possess superior technical aptitude, written and oral communications skills .
Additionally they must possess strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability. Regular activities include network engineering and troubleshooting, project management, mentorship of Technical Support Technicians, data cabling, systems administration in a variety of software and hardware environments, telecom/PBX administration, root cause analysis in problem solving, and assistance in managing the daily activities of the department.

Basic Qualifications
  • 1+ years of corporate setting Windows, Mac or Linux Operating systems support experience
  • Experience troubleshooting integrated and interdependent computer systems
  • Experience maintaining zebra thermal printers, troubleshooting thin clients, PCs, scanners, and portable handheld terminals
Preferred Qualifications
  • CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Cisco/CCNA, Linux (Redhat), Microsoft hardware (installation), AWS, or other industry relevant certifications
