Job summary

Exemed is seeking an IT support specialist to provide day-to-day assistance for desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, mobile devices and related peripherals in our Gujarat operations.

You will install, configure and troubleshoot Windows OS and Office, manage networks (LAN/WAN/Wi‑Fi/VPN), Active Directory, email and ERP systems, monitor servers and backups, and implement cybersecurity controls while ensuring compliance with pharmaceutical IT security standards and audits.

Role & responsibilities

Provide day-to-day IT support for desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment.

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office applications, and other business software.
• Administer and monitor LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi, VPN, firewalls, switches, routers, and internet connectivity.
• Manage Active Directory, user accounts, group policies, file permissions, and email administration.
• Support ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent), manufacturing applications, and business-critical software.
• Monitor server performance, storage systems, virtualization platforms, and cloud services.
• Perform regular system backups, disaster recovery testing, and data restoration activities.
• Implement and maintain cybersecurity controls, antivirus solutions, endpoint protection, and patch management.
• Ensure compliance with IT security policies, data integrity requirements, and regulatory standards applicable to the pharmaceutical industry.
• Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for hardware procurement, software licensing, AMC, and technical support.
• Maintain IT asset inventory, software licenses, configuration records, and technical documentation.
• Resolve user incidents and service requests within agreed service levels (SLAs).
• Support implementation of new IT infrastructure, system upgrades, and digital transformation projects.
• Conduct user training on IT systems, cybersecurity awareness, and best practices.
• Assist during internal audits, customer audits, and regulatory inspections by providing required IT documentation and system support.
• Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance IT service efficiency and system reliability.
