Job summary

Communications Test Design is seeking an IT Field Engineer / IT Field Support Engineer for the Reliance Retail project in India. The role requires on-site installation, configuration and maintenance of IT hardware and end-user devices at multiple store locations.

You will troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, scanners and network issues, coordinate with the central IT/helpdesk, and ensure timely resolution of incidents while adhering to SLA/TAT. Travel to sites is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Graduate in IT, CS, Electronics, Networking or related field.
• Freshers with relevant technical knowledge may apply.
• 0–3 years in Desktop/IT/Field/Technical Support preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site IT support at Reliance Retail stores.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, scanners and other IT peripherals.
• Perform OS installation, software installation and basic system configuration.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network and connectivity-related issues.
• Coordinate with the central IT/helpdesk for unresolved incidents.
• Visit assigned locations/stores for break-fix and preventive maintenance activities.
• Maintain proper records of service calls, incidents and resolution status.
• Ensure timely closure of assigned tickets and follow SLA/TAT requirements.
• Coordinate with vendors/third-party teams whenever required.
• Provide technical support to end users and maintain good customer service.

Job Description:

We are looking for IT Field Engineers / IT Field Support Engineers to provide on-site technical support for the Reliance Retail project.

The candidate will be responsible for installation, configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT hardware, operating systems, network connectivity and end-user devices at assigned retail/store locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide on-site IT support at Reliance Retail stores / locations.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, scanners and other IT peripherals.
• Perform OS installation, software installation and basic system configuration.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network and connectivity-related issues.
• Handle basic troubleshooting of LAN, Wi-Fi, IP configuration and network connectivity.
• Troubleshoot Outlook/email and other application-related issues.
• Coordinate with the central IT/helpdesk team for unresolved incidents.
• Visit assigned locations/stores for break-fix and preventive maintenance activities.
• Maintain proper records of service calls, incidents and resolution status.
• Ensure timely closure of assigned tickets and follow SLA/TAT requirements.
• Coordinate with vendors/third-party teams whenever required.
• Provide technical support to end users and maintain good customer service.

Required Skills:

• Basic knowledge of Windows OS / Desktop Support.
• Knowledge of hardware and software troubleshooting.
• Basic understanding of LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP.
• Knowledge of IP configuration and network troubleshooting.
• Experience with desktop/laptop, printer and peripheral troubleshooting.
• Basic knowledge of MS Office and Outlook.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and travel to assigned locations/stores.
• Willingness to work in rotational shifts, wherever applicable.

Eligibility:

• Diploma / Graduate in IT, Computer Science, Electronics, Networking or a related field.
• Freshers with relevant technical knowledge may also apply.li>
• Candidates with 0–3 years of experience in Desktop Support / IT Support / Field Support / Technical Support will be preferred.
• Candidates should be comfortable working in a field/on-site support environment.

Additional Requirement:

• Two-wheeler and valid driving licence preferred/required for locations involving multiple store visits.
• Candidates should be willing to travel within the assigned location/territory.

Shift:

• General / Rotational shifts depending on project requirements.
• Kompally DC, Hyderabad: Rotational shifts including night shifts.
