Spacedraft is seeking a Manager-Purchase to streamline procurement, negotiate with suppliers, and manage inventory in Chennai. The role requires strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills across the supply chain.

Responsibilities include developing procurement strategies, supplier management, and cost optimization, with a focus on on-time delivery and quality. A Bachelor's degree in SCM or related field is required, with 4–10 years of experience. Master’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
• Minimum 4-10 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in civil construction or interior fitout.
• Proven experience in supplier negotiations and strategic sourcing.
• Strong understanding of inventory management, cost control, and market trends.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze and interpret data for effective decision-making.
• Proficiency in ERP software and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Quality Assurance: Resolve quality issues with suppliers and ensure material specs.
• Documentation & Compliance: Maintain procurement records in line with policies and standards.
• Market Research: Track market trends to inform procurement strategies.
• Collaboration: Work with finance, projects, and operations to forecast needs and budgets.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks including supply chain disruptions.
