VALUE DESIGN INFRA PVT. LTD. in Mumbai is seeking a Purchasing Manager to lead procurement for architectural, interior, and turnkey projects. You will oversee vendor identification, contracts, POs, and delivery scheduling to ensure quality and on-time availability.

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret technical drawings, BOQs, and specifications to determine material requirements.
• Proficiency with MS Office and ERP/procurement software to track orders, costs, inventory.
• Analytical, cost-comparison and budgeting skills to optimize spend and profitability.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management with internal teams and suppliers.
• Strong organizational abilities and documentation discipline.

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Purchasing Manager role based in Mumbai. The Purchasing Manager will oversee the procurement of materials, furniture, fixtures, and services required for architectural, interior, and turnkey projects, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely availability. Responsibilities include identifying and qualifying vendors, negotiating contracts and pricing, issuing purchase orders, and monitoring delivery schedules against project timelines. The role involves coordinating closely with design, project management, and site teams to forecast requirements, manage inventory levels, and resolve supply issues. The Purchasing Manager will regularly analyze market trends, maintain supplier performance records, manage procurement budgets, and ensure adherence to company policies and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• Strong purchasing and procurement skills, including vendor identification, negotiation, purchase order management, and contract administration.
• Experience in sourcing construction, interior, furniture, MEP, and related materials for architectural or fit-out projects.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, BOQs, and specifications to determine accurate material requirements.
• Proficiency with MS Office and familiarity with ERP or procurement software to track orders, costs, and inventory.
• Solid analytical, cost-comparison, and budgeting skills to optimize spend and support project profitability.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills for collaboration with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and a structured approach to documentation and follow-up.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field; relevant certifications in procurement or supply chain are an advantage.
• Prior experience as a Purchasing Manager or in a similar role within architecture, interiors, construction, or infrastructure is highly preferred.
• Understanding of local regulations, compliance requirements, and approval processes relevant to construction and interior projects in Mumbai.
