AtmosPower Pvt. Ltd. is an Ahmedabad-based full turnkey EPC company specialising in PSA/VPSA-based industrial gas plants (biogas upgradation, oxygen and nitrogen) and Compressed Biogas (CBG) plants, with 150+ plants commissioned across India in the 1006,500 m/hr range.
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Instrumentation professional to own the complete instrumentation scope of our projects, from engineering and procurement support through inspection, commissioning and after-sales troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities
- Own instrumentation engineering for each project: prepare and review the Instrument Index, I/O List, Cable Schedule, Control Philosophy, Cause & Effect matrix, loop diagrams and hook-up drawings.
- Prepare instrument BOMs and technical datasheets for field instruments, analysers, gas chromatographs, valves, SS tubing, cables, glands and accessories, including correct selection for hazardous (gas) areas.
- Specify PLC/SCADA control panels; review control logic, safety interlocks and ESD (Emergency Shutdown) logic; support SIL documentation with the process team.
- Float RFQs, carry out technical evaluation of vendor offers, and coordinate with vendors on pricing, delivery, GA drawings and datasheets.
- Prepare, submit and obtain approval of engineering documents and vendor drawings for large corporate and oil & gas clients.
- Inspect instrumentation items and witness FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) against approved datasheets, POs and project specifications.
- Provide remote technical support to site teams; visit sites as required for installation checks, loop checking, SAT, commissioning and troubleshooting.
- Coordinate with vendors on service, repair and replacement of faulty instruments to close site issues on time.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Instrumentation, Instrumentation & Control, Electronics & Instrumentation, or equivalent.
- Experience: 8-10 years in instrumentation engineering, preferably in oil & gas or process-plant EPC.
- Proven ownership of instrumentation deliverables (Instrument Index, I/O List, C&E, datasheets, cable schedules) on complete projects.
- Hands-on experience with pressure, temperature, flow and level instruments, gas analysers, and PLC/SCADA systems; familiarity with HART and Modbus.
- Experience preparing documents to client/consultant specifications and handling their review and approval cycles.
- Working knowledge of ISA, IEC, IS and API standards, including hazardous-area classification and PESO-certified equipment.
Preferred Experience
- Instrumentation work in Oil & Gas, refineries, petrochemicals, city gas distribution (CGD), CNG stations, industrial gas plants or wastewater treatment plants.
- Experience with gas analysers, gas chromatographs and purity/moisture measurement.
- AutoCAD knowledge.
