Job summary

Nirmal Industrial Controls in India seeks an instrumentation engineer to prepare detailed engineering documents for gas-related skids, including field gauges, transmitters, meters, and control system hookups.

You will create designs per codes, size instrumentation, review P&ID, support vendor bids, and coordinate with projects for document approvals; proficiency in MS Office and ISO/QHSE is expected.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Instrumentation Engineering Standards.
• Field instrumentation and control systems knowledge (SCADA, PLC, RTU, protocols).
• MS Office, ISO 9000 and QHSE knowledge.
• Wiring diagrams, panel diagrams, cabling and termination docs; valve sizing and selection.
• Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and specs.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

Job description

Role & responsibilities :-

• Detailed engineering documentation preparation for instrumentation designs related to natural gas pressure reduction, gas conditioning and metering skids Field gauges, transmitters, flow meters, junction box-cable schedules, control system documentation, instrument hook-ups etc.
• Create designs which match customer requirements using instrumentation codes and standards.
• Working knowledge of MS Office, ISO 9001 & QHSE.
• Sizing and calculation softwares Thermowell, orifice, Control Valve.
• Exposure in basics of field instrumentation, cable-junction box schedules.
• Timely respond to non-conformities and maintain the same for further analysis
• Collaborate with purchase, external vendors for timely BOM preparation
• Provide support in identifying and listing product varieties to help standardize key products Sizing, model selection and work file preparation of NIRMAL make pressure regulators.
• Generation of RFQs, review and approval of Vendor bids, review and approval of drawings/documents submitted by vendor.
• Review of P&ID and relevant mechanical documents like piping GA layouts and drawings for instrument detailing.
• Assistance to projects team for engineering document approval.
• Follow and improve the work procedures, work instructions related to integrated management system.
• Resolve production hold notes, and quality hold notes received from production team/QA team.
• Generate Production orders in SAP, Generate product codification in SAP.
• Participate in FAT as and when required.
• Factory visits, site visits, customer visits for problem resolution, document approvals, inspections etc.
• Basic knowledge on control systems IO lists, cause and effect documents, PLC system architecture, SCADA selection, flow computers selection and functional design documentation.
• Basic awareness on various Instrumentation related standards – ISO, IEC, ATEX, AGA3, AGA7, AGA8, AGA9 & AGA10 etc.

Key Skills Required :-

• Knowledge of Instrumentation Engineering Standards.
• Working Knowledge of field instrumentation, control system engineering(SCADA, PLC, RTU, communication protocols)
• Working knowledge of MS Office, ISO 9000 & QHSE.
• Working knowledge of wiring diagram, panel diagrams, cabling and termination documents, control valve / regulator sizing & selection. Basic process engineering like valve sizing, line sizing, meter sizing calculations
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
