Job summary

Accuspeed Engineering Services is seeking an experienced Instrumentation Engineer with a strong background in instrumentation design and detailed engineering for Oil & Gas, refinery, petrochemical, and offshore projects. The role focuses on SPI, instrument wiring, cable schedules, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities include preparing instrument indexes, datasheets, I/O lists, loop diagrams, and wiring diagrams using SPI, as well as cable schedules and interconnection

Qualifications

• Hands-on SPI experience with instrument design and SPI deliverables.
• Experience with instrument data sheets, I/O lists, and loop diagrams.
• Experience in Oil & Gas EPC projects; able to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Instrument Index, Datasheets and I/O Lists.
• Develop Instrument Loop Diagrams and Wiring Diagrams using SPI.
• Prepare Cable Schedules, Cable Lists, and interconnection drawings.
• Coordinate with clients and vendors to resolve issues.
• Ensure designs meet project specs and standards.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Instrumentation Engineer with a strong background in instrumentation design and detailed engineering for Oil & Gas, refinery, petrochemical, and offshore projects. The candidate should have hands-on experience in Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI), preparation of engineering deliverables, instrument wiring, cable schedules, and coordination with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain Instrument Index, Instrument Datasheets, Instrument Specifications, and I/O Lists.
• Develop Instrument Loop Diagrams, Wiring Diagrams, and Junction Box (JB) Wiring Drawings using SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI).
• Prepare Instrument Cable Schedules, Cable Lists, Cable Block Diagrams, and Interconnection Wiring Drawings.
• Handle device panels, junction boxes, marshalling panels, DCS/PLC interfaces, and control system wiring.
• Review P&IDs, Instrument Design Basis, technical specifications, and vendor documents.
• Prepare material take-offs (MTO), technical bid evaluations (TBE), and technical queries (TQs), as required.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
• Ensure engineering deliverables comply with project specifications, applicable standards, and delivery schedules.
• Support FEED and detailed engineering activities for Oil & Gas and offshore projects.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience in SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI).
• Good knowledge of instrumentation engineering deliverables and design documentation.
• Experience in instrument index, I/O lists, loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, and cable schedules.
• Understanding of DCS, PLC, ESD, Fire & Gas (F&G) systems, junction boxes, and marshalling panels.
• Ability to review P&IDs, vendor documents, and instrument datasheets.
• Experience in Oil & Gas, refinery, petrochemical, or offshore EPC projects.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office.
• Good communication, coordination, and technical problem-solving skills.

Educational Qualification

• B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Instrumentation, Electronics & Instrumentation, Electrical & Electronics, or a related engineering discipline.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working on international Oil & Gas EPC projects.
• Exposure to FEED and detailed engineering deliverables.
• Experience with cable sizing, cable tray calculations, and MTO preparation.
• Experience with DCS/PLC/ESD/F&G instrumentation design and SPI reporting.
