Job summary

L&T Technology Services is seeking a skilled SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI) Engineer for Oil & Gas projects in India. You will handle instrument datasheets, I/O lists, P&ID reviews, and SPI database administration on EPC and refinery assignments.

The role requires hands-on SPI/INtools, instrumentation engineering knowledge, and ability to work with SQL databases; on-site in Vadodara, Gujarat, with project execution support.

Qualifications

• Hands-on SPI/INtools experience.
• Strong knowledge of Instrumentation Engineering and Oil & Gas processes.
• Experience with Instrument Index, I/O Lists, Datasheets, Loop Drawings, and Wiring Diagrams.
• P&ID review and interpretation experience.
• SPI administration experience.
• SQL knowledge and SQL databases.

Responsibilities

• Preparation and maintenance of Instrument Index, I/O Lists, and Instrument Datasheets.
• Interpretation and review of P&IDs.
• Preparation of Loop Drawings, Hook-up Drawings, and Instrument Documentation.
• Creation and maintenance of Junction Box (JB) wiring, cable schedules, and I/O assignments.
• SPI database management and administration.
• Claim & Merge activities and database maintenance.
• Support engineering activities related to instrumentation design and project execution.
• Creation and modification of EDE views as per project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation and maintenance of Instrument Index, I/O Lists, and Instrument Datasheets.
• Interpretation and review of P&IDs.
• Preparation of Loop Drawings, Hook-up Drawings, and Instrument Documentation.
• Creation and maintenance of Junction Box (JB) wiring, cable schedules, and I/O assignments.
• SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI/INtools) database management and administration.
• Claim & Merge activities and database maintenance.
• Support engineering activities related to instrumentation design and project execution.
• Creation and modification of EDE views as per project requirements.

Required Skills

Preferred Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Instrumentation, Instrumentation & Control, or relevant discipline.
• Experience in EPC, Refinery, Petrochemical, or Oil & Gas projects.
