Job summary

Luthra Group Company is seeking an Instrumentation Maintenance Technician in Surat. The role involves routine maintenance of water analyzers, monitoring flow meters and level transmitters, and supporting dosing systems across treatment plants.

You will perform daily field checks on valves, gauges, and actuators, and assist with PLC/SCADA data logging. Candidates should hold ITI (Instrumentation) or Diploma in Instrumentation with 2+ years in ETP/STP/CETP environments and be willing to work

Qualifications

• ITI or Diploma in Instrumentation is required.
• Candidates should have practical exposure to water analyzers and flow meters.
• Understanding of P&IDs and electrical wiring diagrams is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Analyzer Maintenance: routine cleaning, calibration, and maintenance of online water quality analyzers (pH, TDS, COD, BOD, TSS, and Residual Chlorine).
• Flow & Level Monitoring: ensure accurate functioning of flow meters, level transmitters, and float switches across treatment tanks.
• Chemical Dosing Systems: maintain and troubleshoot dosing pumps and automated feed systems.
• Field Operations: daily inspections of field instruments, including pressure gauges and motorized actuators on valves.
• PLC & SCADA Support: assist in troubleshooting signal errors between field sensors and central SCADA for real-time data logging.
• Preventive Maintenance: execute PM schedules to prevent sensor corrosion or scaling due to effluent characteristics.

Role & responsibilities :

• Flow & Level Monitoring: Ensure accurate functioning of Electromagnetic Flow Meters, Ultrasonic Level Transmitters, and Float Switches across various treatment tanks.
• Chemical Dosing Systems: Maintain and troubleshoot instrumentation related to dosing pumps and automated chemical feed systems.
• Field Operations: Conduct daily inspections of field instruments, including pressure gauges and motorized actuators on valves.
• PLC & SCADA Support: Assist in troubleshooting signal errors between field sensors and the central SCADA system to ensure real-time data logging.
• Preventive Maintenance: Execute PM schedules to prevent corrosion or scaling of sensors caused by effluent characteristics.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education: ITI (Instrumentation) or Diploma in Instrumentation.
• Technical Skills:
• Practical experience with Water Analyzers and Flow Meters is highly preferred.
• Basic understanding of P&IDs and electrical wiring diagrams.
• Experience with pneumatic actuators and solenoid valves.
• Sector Experience: 2+ years of experience in an ETP, STP, or CETP environment is a significant advantage.
• Shift Work: Must be willing to work in rotational shifts to support 24/7 plant operations.
