Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of PLC, SCADA, and pressure & level instruments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate field instruments and pressure switches.
• Clean and check density meters and filters against QC values.
• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance as per schedule.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Calibration of field instruments using a portable multifunction calibrator and hand pump (provided by the customer)
• Calibration and testing of pressure switches, level instruments, and level switches
• Cleaning of density meters and filters and checking against QC values
• Calibration of temperature transmitters and checking RTD sensors
• Housekeeping of control room panels, consoles, and field instruments
• Monsoon protection of all field instruments
• Testing of smoke detectors, heat detectors, and manual call points (Fire Alarm System)
• Calibration and testing of hydrocarbon gas detectors and flame detectors
• Removal and refixing of turbine flow meter pick-up coils and pre-amplifier cards
• Support in OTDR testing, OFC jointing, and optical power measurements
• Laying and termination of instrument & LAN cables (minor works)
• Assistance in troubleshooting telecom systems (SDH, PDH, EPABX, CCTV, VCS)
• Routine surveillance of PLC panels, control panels, junction boxes, detectors, etc.
• Preparation of calibration certificates (formats provided by Customer)
• Maintaining maintenance log books
• Preparing and submitting weekly/monthly reports
• Managing spares, consumables, and store materials
• Performing preventive and breakdown maintenance as per schedule

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma / ITI / Degree in Instrumentation / Electronics / Electrical / Related field
• Experience in industrial instrumentation and calibration
• Basic knowledge of PLC, SCADA, RTD, pressure & level instruments
• Familiarity with fire & gas detection systems is preferred
• Ability to read and understand English
• Good troubleshooting and documentation skills
