Job summary

Murugappa Water Technology And Solutions seeks a skilled technician to perform electrical and instrumentation maintenance on ETP, WTP, UF, RO and MEE plant equipment. The role involves preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance, with troubleshooting of PLCs and field instruments.

Ideal candidates hold an ITI in Electrician/Technician and have 2+ years in industrial maintenance, preferably in water treatment or related processes, and should be willing to work in Detroj/Bharuch, Gujarat.

Qualifications

• ITI qualification in Electrician / Technician; Fitter candidates with relevant electrical maintenance experience may also be considered.
• 2+ years of experience in electrical and instrumentation maintenance, preferably in industrial/process plants.
• Experience in ETP, WTP, UF, RO and/or MEE plants preferred.
• Hands-on experience in preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, breakdown maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Basic knowledge of PLC, control panels, electrical systems and field instrumentation.
• Ability to diagnose electrical/instrumentation faults and take quick corrective action.
• Candidates from Chemical, Water Treatment/Waste Management and other process industries are preferred.
• Good understanding of industrial safety practices and maintenance procedures.
• Willingness to work at Detroj, Gujarat / Bharuch, Gujarat.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical and instrumentation maintenance activities for ETP, WTP, UF, RO and MEE plant equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance as per the maintenance schedule.
• Attend electrical and instrumentation breakdowns and troubleshoot faults to minimize equipment downtime.
• Identify and rectify electrical, instrumentation and control system issues.
• Carry out routine inspection and monitoring of electrical and instrumentation equipment.
• Maintain daily maintenance records, logbooks and equipment history cards.
• Support troubleshooting of PLC/control systems and field instruments.
• Ensure proper functioning and availability of plant utilities and equipment.
• Coordinate with operations and maintenance teams for timely resolution of equipment-related issues.
• Follow safety procedures, maintenance standards and site requirements.
• Provide quick response during breakdowns and ensure reliable operation of plant equipment.
