Job Purpose
We are looking for a Field Technical Representative for our client. The role involves monitoring water-treatment performance, conducting field testing, supporting chemical trials, maintaining service records, and identifying opportunities for improvement and business development.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct scheduled visits to customer sites and ensure safe access and proper operating conditions.
- Collect water/process samples and perform basic field tests such as pH, TDS/Conductivity, turbidity, hardness, alkalinity and residual chlorine
- Monitor the performance of ETP, STP, RO and utility systems, including chemical dosing, flow, equipment condition and abnormal trends.
- Support jar tests, chemical trials and controlled field trials as per approved procedures.
- Prepare accurate and timely service reports covering test results, observations, photographs, corrective actions and customer feedback.
- Monitor chemical consumption against agreed dosage and process flow; identify over-dosing, leakage, stock-out risks and unusual consumption
- Handle customer complaints by collecting relevant technical evidence and escalating issues to the appropriate team.
- Identify potential business opportunities such as treatment instability, high chemical consumption, new plant capacity, membrane-related issues and other customer requirements
- Coordinate with the Sales and Technical teams to convert identified opportunities into business leads.
- Maintain proper documentation through mobile reporting, checklists, photographs, stock/consumption records and customer sign-offs.
- Follow all company safety procedures and ensure that no unsafe activity or unauthorised process change is recommended.
Education
Preferred:
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech. in Chemical, Environmental or Mechanical Engineering
- B.Sc. Chemistry
- ITI / Process Plant background may also be considered for operator-orientated candidates with good technical understanding.

- Candidates with 14 years of experience in any of the following areas will be preferred:

- Willingness to work at customer sites and travel as required.
- Basic proficiency in mobile-based reporting and documentation.
- Strong focus on safety and compliance.
Travel & Mobility
The candidate should be comfortable with frequent local/outstation customer visits and occasional urgent site-support requirements. A valid driving licence and willingness to travel will be preferred.

A technically sound and field-orientated professional who can independently visit customer sites, understand basic water-treatment operations, conduct field testing, identify process issues, communicate effectively with customers, and coordinate with internal Sales and Technical teams for timely resolution and business development.
